YUM!!!! I added some sliced galic cloves and popped the oil in the microwave for just a minute to infuse it with the garlic. Everyone LOVED these, and I was just using up some hot dog rolls that would have otherwise went in the garbage. AWESOME!

Great croutons! I used some leftover homemade bread and just chunked it up and then followed the recipe as posted. I will never buy store croutons again ~ I am spoiled! Thank you for posting this keeper recipe!

These were definitely melt in your mouth croutons! They're not only great on a salad, but I could eat them plain as well.

I ran out of the sotre bought croutons and tried this recipe in an emergency. Wow. All I can say is no more store bought in this house! I added garlic, parsley and tossed with grated parmesam cheese after baking and they are wonderful. I love the fact that they are not hard a rocks. Much easier and safer on fillings to chew. Thanks.

I love these homemade croutons! I usually save the "ends" of bread loafs (everyone in my family refuses to eat the "ends") in a bag until I have enough to make a nice size batch of croutons. Little do they know, the yucky "ends" get made into the awesomely delicious croutons that they fight over! NOTE: I use the ends from all types of bread, whole wheat, white, oatmeal, etc. They all taste great!!

These turned out so good... but WARNING: Don't make if you are on a low carb diet! I kept munching on them before I put them in the salad, I couldn't help myself! I used frozen hot dog buns so they wouldn't "flatten" when I sliced and it was so simple, one slice down the middle and a bunch across and they came out the perfect crouton size! I was out of olive oil so used the canola and seasoned with my favorite seasoning salt and garlic salt. They came out PERFECT! Thanks so much for posting this recipe. It took hardly any effort to make these and they were melt in your mouth delicious!

I used this bread to make the croutons #50830. I added some crushed garlic into the olive oil and used garlic salt instead of seasoning salt. Delicious! Thanks

Wow! These little things are tasty! I think we'll be eating salad more often around here, just to be able to make these more often! I had a fresh loaf of Italian bread from the grocery store that I used. I sliced it into thick slices, then let them sit out on the counter for about 1 hour to have them dry out a little! I drizzled them with olive oil and use Lawries seasoning and baked for 10 minutes! Yum! I'm already full from snacking on them, and it isn't even supper time yet! Will definitely make again!

So easy and much tastier than store bought. You can use any kind of leftover bread, (whole wheat, bagels etc). Thank you.
