11 Reviews of Easy Delicious Slow Cooker Roast Beef

I've read this recipe over and over and wonder where I went wrong. I used a 3.5 lb. chuck roast, followed the directions exactly and then cooked for 8 hours on low. While the flavor was great, the meat was dry. Plus there were barely enough drippings to make any gravy. I'd like to try this again, maybe adding a bit of water or beef stock. I'll be sure to post a new review when I try this, but thought I'd mention to others that some may want to try adding a bit of liquid to keep the roast moist. This dish is super easy to prepare and I'm hoping additional liquid will make the difference for me. Thanks for posting this recipe.

Just as promised; "good, moist and delicious". It certainly couldn't be easier.

I love it! It came out moist, and falling apart, with a great flavor! And....it's simple, it took me two minutes to prepare. I'll definately make it again!

This roast was so easy and delicious! I had a very thick chuck roast which I cooked on High for 5 hours because it was so thick. The meat turned out very tender and juicy. During the last hour I tossed in a drained can of potatoes into the juices. Those were great, too! I used Miller's Copycat Lipton's Onion Soup Mix, onion soup mix. I can't believe this roast turned out so tasty! Thanks for the recipe!

I made this last weekend. Yummy! My family loved it. I served it with a side dish of Aunt Helen's Rice Pilaf #100805 instead of carrots/potatoes. I will definitely make this again...

Nice flavour! I added 1/2 C water as I always put water in the crock pot to be sure I get alot of gravy. Had I not done this, I think there would not have been enough drippings to make gravy. I used about 3/4 of the pkg of soup mix too just a personal preference as I find it salty. Will make this again. Thx Carrol

This was the first time I used a slow cooker. The beef was tender on the bottom half, but a little dry on the top half. Next time I will try using a smaller roast.

This beef has the most amazing flavour. Imust admit I amnot a fan of raost beef, I always find it dry, but when I tried this receipe in my ne slow cooker, god it was delicious, and the smells in the house, yummy! I was a bit concerned about the roast burning so put half a cup of water in to slow cooker, other then that followed the receipe. Thanks so much, 3 hours on HIGH was enough for us. Will definently do again.
