This is just like my mother made when I was young. I increased the sugar to 3/4 cup, added raisins, and nutmeg to taste. My husband thought it was great.

Very good rice pudding! I used to make it with egg but I like this recipe better. A bit more healthy for my hubby with the sweet tooth. I used 1% milk and it turned out perfectly.

I make this for my elderly mother using lactose free skim milk and it is terrific! I also add a teaspoon of cinnamon with the milk.

This worked well and had a surprising amount of flavor for something with so few ingredients. The milk and sugar condensed way down into smooth creaminess, and the amount of vanilla was just right for my taste. This was my first time making rice pudding on the stovetop, but everything seemed to work as it was supposed to.

This recipe is sensational! I made it for my boyfriend (whom grew up in a Colombian household where arroz con leche is their favorite dessert) and after taking his first bite, proposed! So needless to say, I think this recipe is a winner!

I made this recipe this morning because I had a sweet tooth and needed a little comfort food. It was wonderful. It was so simple to make. ( I made it while studying my sunday school lesson) I added cinammon with the milk and also added more vanilla than the recipe called for, but of course all of this should be done to a person's taste. Thankyou for posting this! I will make it again.

I was a little unsure how all that milk would thicken to a pudding-like consistency, but it did rather suddenly near the end of the cooking time, which for me was about 40 to 45 minutes. I added a teaspoon of butter and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to the finished product and it was delicious and creamy.

Made this earlier tonight, and it turned out awesome! I took the advice of other reviewers, and added a tsp. of cinnamon with the milk, added nutmeg and increased the sugar to nearly 3/4 of a cup. It turned out a bit too sweet, (my 8 months pregnant sis loved it that way though!) But next time, I'd add a touch more than a 1/2 cup. Thanks again Cheryl E.!

Yummmmmy! My husband & I used to spend much more money on already prepared pudding. This is much more cost effective and it was so easy! The taste is the same as the store bought. Love it! I used skim milk because that is what I had on hand, I just upped the sugar a little bit (not quite 3/4 cup). Otherwise everything else was as listed. Thanks for a delicious recipe!

Very simple, very easy, very yummy! Not very sweet at all; next time I may increase the sugar to 3/4 - 1 c sugar. Otherwise lovely!
