Delicious! I made this first a few months ago and forgot to write a review. Sorry. Here goes. I've made it by-the-book and with Andouille and also German Knockwurst and Frankfurt(ers)wurst. I smoke my own meats so sometimes I've used smoked wurst and sometimes not. Kennewick, my town, is blessed with a real butcher shop and we don't have to buy what AGRA-BUSINESS passes off as sausage. When I was out of small Red Potatoes I've subbed Yukon Golds and even Russets. I done the packs with freshly minced Garlic and once with garlic and freshly grated Ginger, different but good. (Cook longer over indirect heat, don't burn the Garlic or Ginger.) I've used Shallots, Red Onions, Walla Walla Sweets, and scallions(whites only). I've tried adding real Hungarian Paprika. I can think of only two ways to mess this recipe up,(1) Put something in the pack that you don't like or (2) space out and let it scorch. Everything I've tried has been wonderful. Thanx for posting this great recipe. Pierre

What a fantastic dinner to make when the weather is hot and you do not want to heat up the kitchen! I used smoked sausage instead of Kielbasa and added some mixed herbs along with the rosemary. What a great flavor blend! I will be making this often...no fuss, no muss, very tasty...my kind of meal!

Absolutely the easiest and tastiest dinner I've fixed in a long time! I did add some browned Italian sausage to the mix, and it all came together so well. Excellent recipe for those busy weeknights! Thank you for sharing, L! We love it!! Laudee

Thank you so much for this recipe. I added some green pepper and baby carrots and baked the packets for 45minutes at 350. Definately a winner!

This was simple and good. I didn't have any rosemary so I used some garlic powder and it turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.

made this yesterday...baked in oven as suggested by two readers...was disappointed because potaoes were still hard after 45 min. But I did not use reds...used white. They were cubed small enough..so I don't know why they behaved like they did ! Anyone trying this recipe..I would suggest NOT using a white potato and if you do>>test potato for doneness at 45 minutes..you may need to keep packet(s) in the oven longer.

Delicious, so easy to put together, I baked it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. I used chicken sausage with apple & pinenuts, small red potatoes, onion. added zucchini ans zepher squash also some garlic. Used release foil(no stick) over a layer of heavy foil worked great. Very thing was so yummy,Served it with a baby green salad. What a good idea for a no fuss dinner. Thank you Lorac for posting the recipe.

Loved this recipe. This meal was fast, easy and nothing to clean up. I didn't use the rosemary, DH and I don't like it. I also cut the kielbasa into 1/4-1/2 inch slices. We also added mushrooms and garlic. 3-5 minutes before taking if off the grill, I sprinkled cheese on the top, closed the packet back up and let it finish cooking.

I cooked these in the oven, at 375 for about 50 minutes. I would love to try these on the grill next time. I'm on South Beach, so for myself I omitted the potatoes and added onion and green pepper. I also used low fat keilbasa. I added the red potato for my husbands packet and they came out very tender after the 50 minutes of cooking. I also sprinkled some garlic powder over the mixture for both of us. Thanks for posting!

Great recipe...it reminds me of something we used to make at camp called a HOBO meal. I made mine in the oven since it's January in Minnesota and they turned out great. I added brussel sprouts and substituted leeks for onions since I had them. Baked at 400 degrees for about 45-50 minutes. The fam loved them and it was easy clean up!
