Oh gosh these are soooo good. I can see why everyone asks for the recipe. This is one of those recipes that you wish you could rate more than 5 stars...made just as stated, I did leave them in the fridge overnight, when I baked them for 12 minutes, they didn't look as if they were done, but they set perfectly upon sitting after a couple of minutes. These are a great cookie with a wonderful soft and chewy texture, just delicious...I highly recommend this recipe, my family enjoyed these cookies very much. Thanks so much for posting such a wonderful cookie recipe Shimmerchk!...I will make these again and again..KC

I love these cookies!! oh man.. you're an evil, evil woman, shimmerchk! I know every piece of these delectable things will make their way to my hips! These are as chewy as stated in recipe. I did make some substitutions - didn't have vanilla so I used half almond and half hazelnut extract. I used half semisweet choc chips and half peanut butter chips. I halved the amount of sugar and still find them pretty sweet, due to the large amount of already sweet baking chips. The dough was stiff, so I mixed and shaped the cookies by hand, which worked very well. And I did chill the dough well (overnight) and the recipe makes very pretty cookies. Perfect for gifts!! Thanks shimmerchk, for this great recipe, and I'll submit a pic! (pick a chef)

Excellent, yummy cookie! Followed the recipe exactly except I used butterscotch chips instead of the milk chocolate chips. Turned out awesome!! This cookie doesn't spread out and keeps its shape nicely.

this was very good. followed everything to the T and got chewy puffy cookies. baked at 12 mins. really does keep it's form so make sure you lightly press down as the direction says. only problem i had was the dough was a little hard to work with after being chilled over night. was a little on the crumbly side but it was no biggy and end results was yummy so still 5 stars all the way. thanks for sharing! =)

These cookies turned out PERFECT!!! I followed the recipe exactly, no alterations and could not have had better results. Both son and husband gobbled them like they had been starving for days. A great "put in the lunch" cookie. Thanks!

These cookies are excellent!!! They taste better than any store bought cookie I've ever had and are so moist and chewy. I will be making these cookies again!!!

Very good!! I used white choc. instead of milk (just to use it up) & everyone loved them. I made them in the evening & they were gone by dinnertime the next day.I chilled for about 4-hrs & it worked fine (kept sneaking into the fridge to eat the dough..LOL) Thanks for posting!!

This is, by far, the prettiest cookie I've ever made. Was a bit worried that I had undercooked them and had even considered this last night while I ate three of them (I know, I know) hot from the oven. Thought they were way too soft, but the real deal was this morning when I ate one. We are talking a whole different ball park here. The chew was definitely established and even the flavor of the chocolate was more pronounced. Loved it, loved it, loved. I can't emphasize enough how great this recipe is. You go girl!

Excellent cookies. I cut down the sugar by 1/2 cup but followed the rest of the instructions as written. The cookies came out thick, chewy and taste like the ones in the bakery. Thank you for posting the recipe.
