The recipe was fairly hassle-free and had an excellent flavour. The hot sauce - which I added much more, maybe 15 drops of Tabasco - balances the sweetness of the brown sugar nicely. I added sliced red, yellow, and orange peppers in the last 10 minutes of cooking time.

Fantastic! The combination of ingredients made the chicken wonderfully flavorful. My husband loved it! I double the recipe so we could have it for leftovers. I would not change anything the recipe. It was fast and easy to make. Thank you so much for sharing it.

KEEPER!! Reasons: So easy, So quick and tastes great with rice. Great for a busy working mom. Oh, I was busy so I skipped the browning of the chicken steps. I just put the chicken in a big pot, added all the seasonings, covered and cooked for 45 minutes

Loved it! Great company dinner, delicious and easy. Used 6 chicken thighs, and essentially doubled the sauce ingredients (omitting dry mustard and celery seed, was out of both). Amazing flavor, thanks so much!!

Fabulous chicken recipe. Succulent; delicious. The only change I made was to used a sprinkle of pepper flakes instead of the hot pepper sauce. I also skinned the chicken pieces - personal preference. I will definitely make this again.

Succulent chicken in a slight sweet and sour sauce. It was extremely easy to prepare and in advance. I used one more garlic clove then the recipe stated but it was the only change I made.

I have made this several times now and realized I did not rate it. It is one of my family favorites. I have used both drumsticks and boneless breasts. I found the recipe easy to follow and quick to prepare. This sauce is so good I am going to try it on other meats/fish. Thanks for the post.

Very enjoyable. I made 10 drumsticks (2.4 total pounds). I liked "dusting" the drumsticks better than dredging them. That was fun. I didn't have celery seeds, so I omitted the salt and used a scant tsp of celery salt. Increased the garlic and hot pepper sauce, and used only 1.5 tbsp of butter. Came out very nice. Everyone liked it. Served with rice and the sauce was very good. Not too sweet like a BBQ sauce, but not spicy either. Also served with Creamed Spinach. Thanks for a yummy dinner.
