This made a wonderful dinner with a multi-layered salad. Yum! I used chicken style broth to make it vegetarian. I didn't have sunflower seeds, so added a little toasted wheat germ. I splashed on some soy sauce and I was in heaven! Thanks so much!

Great rice recipe. The presentation is very appealing. I had this on my Christmas buffet and everyone enjoyed it.

Absolutely lovely side dish for our marinated chicken breast dinner. Loved the crunch that the almonds and sunflower seeds added. Will definitely make this again! Thanks, Paula!

Wow! We LOVED this: loved how healthy it was and how flavoursome. In particular, we loved the inclusion of nuts and seeds which provided wonderful textural variation. I omitted the red pepper flakes (personal taste preference) and added some minced garlic and sliced mushrooms (both favourite ingredients), but otherwise made this exactly to the recipe. Thank you for an absolute gem of a recipe, PaulaG, one that I'll be making again and again. We enjoyed this with Barbecue Kiwi Lamb Kebabs - Skewers. Made for Ali Baba's Babes for ZWT 5.

This turned out fantastic. I am so happy to have this recipe. We made some minor changes, using the veggies and nuts we happened to have on hand. But it is the idea and the technique that I love and will use again and again. Thanks for posting this recipe!

This turned out fantastic for me...I like to think of myself as a pretty good cook, but I always manage to screw up rice...my husband actually said it was great!! I thought it was great too, but I like almost everything, so I thought it would be fair to rate this based on my husband's reaction.

I'm not a big rice fan but after trying this recipe I can feel a change coming on after eating Health Nut Brown rice :o) It is so easy to throw together. I cooked the rice the night before and made it, while making the household breakfasts, for my lunch at work .. it was that easy. It tastes great and it has lots of good things in it too . Paula thanks for sharing this recipe it is certainly the best way to eat rice that I have ever tried

I think I was expecting something that tasted "good for you" but I was plesantly surprised with the color, flavor and texture of this dish. It is "company-worthy" in every sense of the word yet easy enough for weeknight dinners. Delicious!
