My son celebrated his third birthday with an "orange" themed party-his most favourite color. I made orange playdough with orange flavoured Kool Aid as an activity for the party. The playdough smelled terrific and provided the boys with something fun to do. I even sent some playdough home with each guest in their treat bags! Thanks for posting!

This worked beautifully. My 6 year old grandson and I made it this afternoon (I cut the recipe in half with no problem.) It turned out perfectly and he's been playing with it for two hours now. It's easier to roll and shape than the store bought stuff and certainly smells better!! Not to mention how inexpensive it is! Thanks for a great activity. We made green today, tomorrow is red!

This was great fun for my 3 year-old DD this afternoon. I made a batch using a tub of Raspberry Crystal Lite since I didn't have any Kool Aid. I needed to add a lot more flour in order to get a workable texture, but, it was easy to fix. Thanks for a fun recipe!

This is a fun project to do with kids. They love making their own playdough. Do have to add more flour to get the right consistency. Suggest using regular bleached flour for this recipe as unbleached turns the dough a strange color. For variety I always split the recipe and make two colors of dough. Most colorful with tropical punch Kool- Aid or other dark colors like grape or black cherry. The kids love it! Thanks for sharing!

The kids really enjoyed making this. We used grape koolaid. The playdough is really soft and the stickiness goes away after it cools. Love the smell!

This was so much fun to make, and the measurements were absolutely perfect! I don't think I will ever buy store bought Play Dough again; this has a much better smell AND consistency. Thanks for posting!!

I made this with my 3 kids this afternoon. I kinda stopped buying the playdough at the store, b/c I was sick of it getting EVERYWHERE. The kids loved helping me make this...and loved playing with it. and I love how easy it is to make, AND CLEAN UP!!! and it's so inexpensive...the kids LOVE how they can pick the color AND the scent. I just can't say enough about this recipe!!! It's AWESOME

We passed this recipe through our day home association. We made it as a fundraiser at a trade show. Each provider was to make one package for the show...we all made extra to have at home. It was a huge hit with everyone, every provider who contributed said it was the best playdough they have ever made. The kids love the smells and the colors are fabulous. Only thing was some of them cheaped out and bought no name juice crystals...do not use no name...use Kool aid like the recipe calls. The color isnt as bright and the smell isnt as strong.
