Absolutely phenomonal!! And SO easy to prepare! I followed the directions exactly and used the dashes of cayenne as well. A fantastic dish for company or special treat. My only piece of advice is to make sure you wash your scallops well. I thought I had and still got grit....thank God it was me who got it and NOT my guest! Lorac this is a winner ANY way you look at it.

I have to add my 5 *'s to this recipe because it's just fabulous. These scallops are quick, easy and delicious. I halved the recipe easily and added a bit of the buttermilk to the baking pan along with the scallops. I served them with roasted potatoes and green beans but my husband and I both agreed the scallops, with the resultant sauce, would be really good over noodles. This is going into my 'Best of the Bunch' beause it's so easy and delicious. Thanks Lorac for posting this recipe

This was so easy and soooo good. An impressive meal for company I did not have buttermilk so I just mixed equal parts of milk and lemon juice.

Scallop lovers would be remiss to pass this one up. For some reason, using Ritz crackers made me skeptical, but they were a wonderful topping. I did add the cayenne for a little zing. Excellent....thanks for posting!

This was so simple to make I had my questions about how it would taste. Buttermilk has not been one of my fortays. BUT I must say: " This is one of the best scallop recipes I have ever had! I can't WAIT to serve this to guests!!!!

This was good, but there was a LOT of liquid...so much that the cracker topping didn't stay crispy, but that may be because I used bay scallops, which are a lot smaller than sea scallops. The bay scallops were cooked in about 15 minutes. Next time, I'll use the sea scallops. I think the larger scallops probably work better for this.

This was very good. I've never been to Legal Seafoods so I don't know how close of a copy-cat this is. The buttermilk seems to really bring out the sweet flavor of the scallops. My scallops were quite large, so I baked these for about 7-8 minutes longer, which seemed to be just right.

This recipe was so delicious and extremely easy to make. Its perfect for a quick weekday meal or fancy enough to serve to company on the weekend. I would make no modifications to this recipe at all. I defintely will be making this recipe again and again.

I made this last night, substituting the new baked Ritz crackers in the Garlic/Mozzarella flavor and me and my fiance were blown away! This is a fast, easy, and absolutely delicious recipe!
