97 Reviews of Olive Garden Fettuccine Alfredo

From: Barry Barton

On Oct 18, 2001

If you change the t table spoons cream cheese to 8 ounce pack of cream cheese its better the Olive Gardens. Also if you are adding sea food such as Crab meat, shrimp, or Samon I think 2 oz. for clam juice would round out this dish. Its so good I put it on our menu once a week and sell out each time.

WOW!! This is as close as you can get to the Olive Garden's recipe. I used the 8oz cream cheese and also substituted the pint of heavy cream with 1 cup heavy cream & 1 cup half & half. It came out perfect. Thanks for sharing this incredible recipe.

This recipe is amazing! I get so many compliments when I make this dish. I've made a different variation of this dish by using Herb and Garlic cream cheese instead of plain cream cheese makes an unbeleivable flavor to the dish. Thanks so much for sharing!

I've never had Olive Garden's version, but this was outstanding. I used fat free half and half and fat free cream cheese and it was still yummy. Also, since I used fat free stuff, I added the entire 8 oz. cream cheese. It wasn't runny at all.

JUST SUPER-GREAT!! Don't know about Olive Gardens recipe, but this was just delicious. I did add 1/16 teaspoon of ground nutmeg. This is a favorite from here on in. Thanks for sharing. "Uancle Bill"

You know, I was getting dissapointed when making this recipe. The cream cheese wasn't melting right & I really thought that it wouldn't turn out as I would have expected. Boy, was I wrong. This is a really good recipe!! I waited & the sauce came together perfectly. I added brocolli sauteed in garlic & red pepper flakes. This now truely a favorite in our home. Thank you!

Great tasting and smooth consistency. I did use 8 oz cream cheese but lightened up the cream to 1 cup heavy cream & cup half & half. Next time I will use all fat free half & half. Loved it !!

If we could give this 10 stars, we would give it 15!! Used 8 oz cream cheese, 1 c. half and half, and 1 c. heavy whipping cream. Extra garlic powder, because why not? Also had to let it simmer longer while it waited on other parts of the meal. Too, too good! I would pay big money for this at a restaurant!

This was really easy and delicious! I added 5 tbsp. of cream cheese because that's what I had left. Extra seasoning of course and extra parmesan, because there can never be too much cheese!! I felt like I was eating in a restaurant! My family loved it and this will be the basis for tons of recipes to come. I'm dreaming of bowtie pasta with chicken and sundried tomatoes with this sauce! Mmmmm!
