This is one of our favourite dressings on fresh fruit on hot sunny days. I used a cinnamon stick in addition to the other ingredients. The only ingredient I didn't use is the egg. I cooked this until the sugar was completely dissolved and then I simply poured this over the fresh fruits I had: I had peeled and diced fresh apples, small pieces of oranges, thinly sliced bananas and fresh grapes. This was a nice ending to our spicy meal! Thank you so much for sharing!

This is very good and light tasting. I poured it over a mixture of cantaloupe cubes and cherries pitted and cut in half. I added about a tablespoon of orange zest before I cooked it. My only complaint is that it's a bit too sweet. Next time I may use 1/2-3/4 cup of sugar, I think that would be plenty. I may also add some lemon zest next time for an extra kick.
