28 Reviews of Imitation Crab Casserole

This was delicious! My husband and I both really enjoyed it and I was amazed at how easy it was to make. As a working mom, this is a recipe I will use often. I even left out the mushrooms and water chestnuts and added carrots.

Just delicious Judy!, I whipped this up tonight for dinner, and DH gave it 2 thumbs up. very simple to put together with delicious results, I made mine with white rice, and added just a little garlic, I add garlic to everything! I also threw in a few cooked shrimps to the mixture. We just loved it, I served it with a side salad. Thanks for sharing Judy, great recipe....Kittencal

Delicious and refreshing. This was very easy to prepare. The veggies were still crisp and had a nice snap. I used brown rice and low fat mayonaise. The flavors all mixed well together. Thank you for a winnning recipe.

this was very good, though i wasn't totally wild about it initially. i used the potato option instead of rice, and while eating it, i felt as if it needed something. so i used some to make crescent dough pasties, and DH took the leftovers for lunch in a tortilla wrap. so while it wasn't so great as a casserole, it made a great filling for wraps and crescent rolls.

This was really yummy! I substituted imitation lobster meat for the crab. I really enjoyed it...The next time I plan on trying cooked shrimp and crab combo.I think this is a dish that is really quite versatile. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I know this one is definitely a keeper for me. And my ds' say Mahalo!!

Judy, this was so good! I made it a few weeks ago and thought I had reviewed. Then I saw it on your list of unreviewed...sorry!! It was so creamy, yet with a little crunch from the chestnuts. I used rice because we love rice casseroles. This will show up quite often here! Thank you!

My daughter and I made this tonight for dinner, well, she did most of the work! She's a vegetarian; I'm not. I have to say, hands down, without a doubt--THIS IS AWESOME!!! Do yourself a favor and make it, you won't regret it! That's a promise. We tried a little something different with it tonight and I have to say, it made something already INCREDIBLE to something just a little bit better in our opinions! Because it really does make 2 casseroles and we have the large "Cook's Essentials" Casserole pan, Crystal and I, after mixing everything together split it in half. On top of the first layer, we placed 6 deli slices of Swiss cheese adding next the remainder of the crab mixture. As instructed, the buttered bread crumbs were added last. It did take a little longer than 30 mins @ 350 but I'm sure that's because my oven cooks slower than most. We didn't add the water chestnuts, (didn't have any) AND sauteed very slightly, the onions, celery, and mushrooms. We added 1 1/2 tsp of Worsteshire sauce instead of just the 1 tsp. Judy, thank you so very much for sharing this with us. Girl, you need to make this and enter it in a contest...You'd walk out with the BLUE RIBBON for sure!!

My family was not crazy about it. If I make it again will add Old Bay seasoning to give if flavor.
