hugh hit!! passed this one to friends also, instant hit! Leftovers were great wrapped in tortilla wrap. I used chicken and lowfat refried and low fat cheese. It did not take away from flavor I did not flash freeze, but heated the refries first so they spread easliy.

I went ahead and added my cheese before freezing instead of after re-thawing. Didn't hurt it a bit. This dish was a big hit at our house and nice to make ahead for those don't know what to fix for supper nights. I think this would have made some really versatile leftovers, but my group chowed it down at one sitting so I'll never know for sure.

This is a great dish! I prepared it early in the day. Since it was only the two of us, I divided the recipe into two seperate pans...(freezing one pan for later). The other pan I put in the refrigerator. At supper time, all I had to do was sprinkle it with chesse and pop it in the oven. I used chicken and brown rice...it was delicious. Thanks for sharing this, Tish.

This was GREAT! We were a little worried about the rice in it but it turned out awesome. And it was super easy so that's a definate five star recipe in my book! Thanks!!

Made this last night. It was so easy; I put in together in the morning, heated it up dinnertime. I used fat free refried beans. Also, I confined my layering to putting the rice on the bottom. I mixed up the other ingredients, spread it over and just topped with the cheese. And I used velveeta for the cheese. Also, I used a package of pre-cooked chicken breast strips, ran them through the chopper first. I liked using the taco seasoning with the tomato sauce; it was easier on my stomach than salsa, but still had enough zip for us. Another way to use chicken. Plus, I am sure it would taste delicious with ground turkey, etc. Thank you!! This was very good. Like another poster, I agree that this would make creative, filling leftovers. But the problem is that the two of us polished it off.

THIS WAS EXCELLENT!!! We had company stop over and they stayed for dinner...we all LOVED it!! They asked for the recipe!!! I ended up mixing it all up and we put it in flour tortilla's topped with lettuce, guaq, salsa and Jalapeno's for the adults!! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!!! THANKS!

Very good and easy! Used brown rice, and added cheese on top before freezing which worked fine.

This worked well for us: I used a can of pinto beans and a can of black beans instead of the refried beans; and I made an extra dish with everything except the chicken for our vegetarian.

This is outstanding and delicious! I make this according to the recipe using all optional ingredients except tortilla chips. I serve it wrapped in tortillas. However, it never lasts long enough to be in my OAMC cookbook! LOL Thanks Tish!

Easy and tasty. I substitute a 16-oz jar of hot salsa for the tomato sauce. We eat this spooned into large tortillas, and wrapped up with a little shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, and sour cream. Alternately, we wrap the tortillas as burritos, then grill them lightly on each side. Yummy!
