These brownies are SOOOO GOOD! I've been looking for a great brownie recipe and this is it. I was skeptical when I took them out of the oven because they looked a little cakey to me and I like chewy brownies. I frosted them with the ganache and was pleasantly surprised when I cut them up at how moist and fudgey they were. They seem time consuming by the directions but are very easy to put together and the taste is fabulous! I took these to a party today and there was not one crumb left! (someone else brought brownies also and went home with almost a full plate) I would highly recommend these!

I came across this recipe when looking for recipes to use up some mascarpone I had and I'm glad I did! These were moistest fudgiest brownies (which are also super easy to make) I had in a long time. I brought them to a desert pot luck and barely got one to sample! Thanks for sharing this keeper recipe!

I do not like giving low stars ever so I am not rating this. My sweets/chocolate loving daughter would not eat this after the first taste, and the others were not much better. I am only reviewing this because the ingrediants are too expensive to not let others know of the problems I had. this looked so beautiful in the picture that I had to go out and buy some mascarpone just to make this. The brownies smelled and looked lovely but the texture was crumbly and just not appetizing to us. So sorry

These were absolutely terrific. I made them for Easter and everybody raved about them. They were between a brownie and fudge. I was happy to find this recipe when I had left over Mascarpone cheese.

WOW! These were the best from scratch brownies I've ever tried! I took them to work and they were mistaken for fudge! I used Lindt Bittersweet chocolate for the shaved/chopped chocolate and some Scharfenberger cocoa powder since these were "fancy" and will definitely make these again. I had bought the marscarpone thinking I'd make tiramisu but am very glad I tried this instead Thank you!

Wonderfully fudgy and rich. I only had 90g of butter, so I had to halve the recipe (1/2 cup=115g but I decided to just wing it). Half of the recipe: I used 2 oz. Valrhona Bittersweet and 2 medium eggs. Due to lack of butter, I couldn't make the ganache. I made a chocolate glaze with hot water instead (Chocolate Water Glaze). This has got to be one of the BEST brownies I've ever had. You don't even have to serve it with ice cream; it's fantastic on its own. Thanks for the recipe.

As a chocoholic, I have tried many brownie recipes, both from scratch and mixes. This recipe was, just as the author says, SUBLIME! Yes, mascarpone is not cheap, but it is a real treat in these brownies, especially now during the holidays. So owe it to yourself during this hectic holiday season and treat yourself to these little gems!!! I used Ghiradelli chocolate and cocoa powder and some homemade vanilla extract that I had made a few months ago. They looked like they had risen higher than JanRoundOz's picture once I took them out of the oven but other than that, they were delicious. I couldn't help cutting myself a slice before the ganache cooled though! When I woke up this morning, I found out that my BF had helped himsef to a huge serving with some vanilla bean ice cream for breakfast!!! Thank you for such a delicious way to use mascarpone instead of the traditional tiramisu!

Truly beautiful brownies that I stumbled on when looking for something to use 125g of very expenssive mascarpone. What a wonderful find. I was almost put of by the lengthy instructions, but all they do is make an easy recipe easier. Moist, fudgey, extemely chocolatey, these are TDF.

Wow!! These were fabulous! I made only two changes. The first was to add an extra 1/4 cup of sugar, based upon other reviewers comments that the brownies weren't sweet enough. The second change was to add toasted pecan chips after I spread the ganache on the brownies. These brownies were a huge hit with my family and went fast. I will definitely be making these again!

This didn't turn out so well for me. The brownie was hard and not as moist and fudgy as I'd hoped.
