This came together easily and had a good flavor combo but I didn't care for how 'warm' it ended up being. Once I blended some ice in, it was much more pleasant IMHO. I would definitely recommend adding ice or freezing the banana to keep it and the peanut butter from lowering the milk's tempature. Thanks!

oh...my...word! This is exactly what I was looking for. I used frozen banana, went a little extra with the peanut butter, used chocolate protein powder instead of syrup and completely forgot the vanilla...fantastic!!!Thank you for a filling better-for-you-than-a-Reeses smoothie!

This was quite good with a few ice cubes tossed into the mix when blended. Not overpowering at all. Tasted like a choco-peanutbutter-bananna shake. A smooth consistancy, a little on the liquid-y side for a smoothy (hence the ice cubes) Delicious and nutricious. Even the two year old is drinking it. Edited to add: made this again with FROZEN bananna. YES. YES. YES.!!!. Edited again to say: I've made this about a zillion times. Doubled the recipe. Played around with the peanut butter. Used full cream milk. Always comes out great. Just make sure the banannas are VERY frozen and cut into chunks.

awsome, add ice, 4-5 cubes to make it thicker but it was quick and easy and I had all the ingredients in my house, no additional shopping.

This smoothie did not get "thick" for me. It was just slightly heavier than flavored milk. I think it will benefit from adding ice before blending to give it more texture.

Oh, Mae. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I just bought my first blender and have been looking for smoothie recipes. Most of the ones I've tried have been too sour for me because they called for yogurt. This was wonderful. The key to making it thick is freezing the banana overnight. I don't care for bananas, so the recipe is a great way for me to sneak them into my diet. I used skim milk, reduced-fat peanut butter and added a tablespoon of wheat germ. I'm also guilty of using a just a little more peanut butter and chocolate syrup. Next time, I'll add a little more wheat germ. I'd never tried it before, either but it didn't seem to effect the taste of the smoothie. Thanks, again!

Yummmmmmmmmmmmm! My son drank his up in about a minute. What a great way to use up some bananas. We for sure will be making this again, I think we will take other peoples suggestions and freeze the bananas beforehand.
