Love it! If you don't have cheesecloth, try 2 paper coffee filters. Worked great!

The secret to this is straining the yogurt (in my case the non fat variety). Makes for a thick and creamy condiment with a wonderful complement of flavors. I diced my cucumbers and added a tablespoon or so of grated onion. Really prefered this to Tzatziki dishes made with sour cream. Served mine along side Greek Lamb Brochettes Greek Lamb Brochettes.

Yum yum! I grated the cucumber and added a little extra lemon. I also added dill as previously suggested. Thanks for the great recipe!

I find that it's easier to just chop the cukes fine in the food processor. Also if you drain the yogurt overnight, it's thick enough that draining the cuke juice isn't necessary. (it is more flavorful than the whey) Also I add about 3 times more lemon and a touch of dill as well.

This was very nice. I've never had tzatziki with lemon in it before that I can recall and it added a nice flavor. I've always used white wine vinegar. The mint also was a nice addittion. I always grate my cukes and did drain them overnight since it always seems too thin to me when I don't. I did reserve the liquid just in case I needed to add some to make it creamier. I followed Katie's suggestion and added a small amount of green onion which worked out great. I served this with Oregano & Lemon Pork Kebobs #134856. Zaar World Tour 05

Very good! This was my first time to make this. I usually just put ranch on our gyros but for the world tour decided to use this instead. Very nice and refreshing! I did add some red onion in it! loved the blend of flavors!

Great recipe Rita! I did 1/4 this tonight, there were only two of us. I added some minced red onion, and a little extra lemon juice, garlic, and pepper. This is a fabulous dipping sauce. I did let it sit for a couple of hours for the flavors to blend. Wonderful!
