17 Reviews of Carrots Glazed With Balsamic Vinegar and Butter

From: Chef #539921

On Dec 28, 2007

I just made 4 pounds of carrots this way for Thanksgiving dinner hoping there would be leftovers. I was wrong. Even the kids loved it. I did use splenda instead of sugar and I didn't really measure, but put in the amount that I would normally to take the tang out of the vinegar. Thanks for a great recipe!

Wonderful! I subbed olive oil for the butter and used just enough to keep the carrots from sticking to the pan. I'll cut back a bit on the sugar next time. The carrots and balsamic made it sweet enough. Thanks Evelyn for a great way to eat carrots!

Just the right amount of "sweet" for me... most butter-sugared carrots are much too sweet for me, but these were perfect. I used carrots from our garden that I had frozen so the carrots' flavor was intense and this recipe didn't overpower them at all. A delicious side dish that's quick and versatile--- thanks so much again, Evelyn!

A delicious and simple side dish. I loved the flavor. I served it with steak and it was a great side dish. Thanks for sharing a different way to glaze carrots.

I served these as a side at Thanksgiving. I precooked the carrots to save time on T-day. I cut the recipe to one third so my amounts were guesstimates. I will make this again as they were eaten by some non-carrot lovers.

Well, as my bio says I love to eat good food especially with friends. Last night I had the opportunity to have supper with four of my closest girlfriends and everyone wanted the recipes! Good job, Evelyn. I will definitely serve these again and again and again....

These were great as a side dish to our Thanksgiving dinner. I was a bit worried about getting the whole meal done at the same time, so I par-boiled the carrots beforehand and then just fried them up in the butter, vinegar and sugar at the last minute. They heated up very quickly and all 10 of our guests said how good they were.

Holy cow! Deeeeelicious! I used half the sugar, otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Very easy and delicious. My daughter is a big carrot fan so I'm sure we'll be eating this again and again.
