100 stars! I am not a cheesecake fan mainly because I don't care for the richness of the cream cheese - my husband is a huge cheesecake lover - these are just perfect little "bites" that satisfy both of us - AND he can have as many as he likes! Changes I made were: lemon zest and sour cream (1/4 cup) - for the crust I added 1/4 cup oats and coconut for texture. I served the squares with strawberry sauce and whipped cream. By the way - they freeze very well. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Awesome and easy! Thank you so much for posting this recipe. I topped the cookies with cherry pie filling (from a can) to look just like yours.A tip, cut the cookies BEFORE adding the toppings. When I cut,it came out looking a little messy-but tasted deeelicious! Used lime juice instead of lemon- came out great!

Could barely wait until they were cooled and refrigerated, just had to sneak a bite. Good when warm; better when cold! I spread a layer of blueberry preserves on top of an almost cooled crust (after step #4) and followed remainder of recipe. So easy and so delicious. Thank you!

These were absolutely WONDERFUL, Bev!!! I love the graham cracker taste with cream cheese so I added 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs to the brown sugar mixture along with 2 extra tbsp butter and it turned out great. I had to try another one of your "bar" type recipes after trying your lemon squares... and these were so easy. Thanks for the great recipe!

This is a great recipe. It is like those expensive little frozen cheesecake bites you find in the freezer of the grocer store, only much better. Good job Recipezaar

To die for! Next time I need to double the recipe
Okay, I baked into 2 loaf pans so that I could slice and freeze.(reduced cooking time) Layered about 1/4 c of blackberry preserves on the hot crust before adding the cheese mixture. OMG! These are awesome. Thank you for a great recipe!!

I went on a search for something yummy to make with ingredients I had on hand. I started checking the oldest to newest recipes and found this one. Sure am glad I did. It is a really great recipe. Just like cheesecake, but much simplier.

I tried it and these were wonderful! The only change I will make next time is to put 1/2 cup of the mixture aside for topping as I like a thicker crust. Other than that this is a keeper! Thanks for sharing!
