I did these a little different, I could not find round pretzles or square pretzles so I used the small regular pretzles, and in the top two holes I put two hugs and when they were melted I placed two of the same colored M&M's, they looked like little individual owls unto themselves. I served them at our Mabon Party and they were a real hit!

Please forgive me, this will be a long review.
I could not find the circle pretzels anywhere - so I got regular pretzels - which were a little too big. So, when I made the eyes, I put white chocolate chips in a circle, placed the kiss on top and then put the pretzel on top of that. When the white chocolate melted it acted like a glue and stuck the kiss and the pretzel together. After pressing the M&M on, my hubby swears that they looked like...um...a well endowed woman.
Despite all this, the taste was fantastic. Thank you for the recipe - we all enjoyed it.

These sound delicious! I haven't had the chance to make these yet-into my cookbook it goes. Just thought I'd give a little tip to anyone that decides to make these with hershey kisses. They sell them already unwrapped in the baking section(with choc chips, etc.)

These were great! The only problem I had was that I could not find round pretzels so I used ritz crackers.I put the hug on top of the cracker and heated then put the m&m on it worked great. Still looking for the round pretzel so I can try it that way as I am sure it would be a hit as well.

We laughed the whole time we were making these. Man, are they good! This is now a staple in Aunt Rebecca's kitchen! This kids will expect to make them every time they visit since they loved them and they were a blast to make. Thanks!

I made this exactly as the recipe dictated. As with the others, I could not find a bag of pretzel rings, but, finally realized I had an alternate source for the rings: Chex Mix. I bought a large bag and was able to get enough pretzel rings from the bag to make at least 32 servings (I could have made more, but this was all I needed). I really liked using the Hugs (which also were hard to find), they make it more owl-like in the finished product. Great recipe, in looks, ease and taste.

BIG BIG HIT!!! They were gone as soon as we got them out - made them for my son's 14th birthday - and the kids took the container, brought it back empty 10 minutes later. Next time i will triple it - I couldn't find the pretzel rings so i used the circle pretzels with the checker board within it - turned out great!! I refrigerated them also - Thanks so much!!!

What a fun snack! I think kids will love these. I could not find round pretzels so used the minis. Since they have 3 holes, I placed 3 hugs in a triangular shape and the pretzel fit over them just right. I also made some with regular Hershey kisses. These were just great! Thanks for a wonderful idea.

We made these using the "square" pretzels (here they are made by Hanover Foods) & they were a hge hit!!! The salty of the pretzel combined really well with the sweet chocolate (making it THE perfect PMS food!!). We also made them using plain Kisses & Peanut M&M's and loved those, too.

I made these for a halloween party and they were a big hit. I used regular sized pretzels upside down (so that the two big loops were at the bottom). I choose reese's pieces instead of M&M's for more authentic owl colours (yellow, orange, and brown).
