This was very easy to make. I used a navel, but it had thick skin and the marmalade turned out slightly bitter, so remember to use thin skinned oranges! After refrigerating the marmalade, it was milder. Thanks Carol, next time I have a whole case of naval oranges that aren't quite ripe, so next time I will zest the skin and cut off the white part and continue with the recipe. Thanks Carol!

This is an amazing recipe!! It smelled so fantastic while I was cooking it that I couldn't wait for it to cool to taste--Incredible!! It is so quick, easy & delicious! I didn't have to make a production out of making this recipe like I have with other marmalade recipes! I had to make another batch, but this time I used one of the gazillions of myer lemons on my tree with a few slices of orange--WOW!! It was amazing! I can't wait to experiment with limes and grapefruits! I used granulated sugar for both batches, but I will most certainly be trying the 1/2 sugar 1/2 Splenda mix so that my mom (she's diabetic) can enjoy! Now, I just need to run out and buy more jars! Thank you soooo much for this wonderful recipe!!!!

Thanks for this 'quickie'.. tastes pretty good, but mine was a quite 'bitter'. I followed the directions/ingredients. ButI wonder if it would be less bitter, if the white inner 'lining' of the oranges was removed? Whatcha think, Carole?

What a perfect little gem of a recipe! This is so quick and easy to make, and it is SO fresh tasting and not overly sweet. (I compared it against the marmalade recipes I have in my canning books, and this has only half the sugar). I often run into recipes where I need orange marmalade as an ingredient, and I never seem to have any on hand (and I can't seem to remember to buy it, either!). Now there's no excuse not to have some when I need it. I really liked the idea that I could make this by the jar, since while it's OK for me to make and store a dozen jars of raspberry or strawberry jam, we just don't go through the marmalade like that... Of course now that we have THIS marmalade, that might change! It is the BEST marmalade I have ever tasted. Thank you so much.

Although, I do not like marmalade myself, I made this for my dh. I used 5 oranges that were in the fridge and not looking healthy enough for eating, yet the pulp inside was still edible.. I thought, rather than throw them out, I would give this recipe a try. I am very satisfied with the results and so is the marmalade eater in the house. I got two generous 1/2 pints, and a little to try immediately... Thanks for a simple and easy recipe!!!!

This recipe was a heaven sent.. Easy as all get out to make. And it saved my girlfriend and my craving for marmalade. Our hubby's dont like it a whole lot and on jar will stay in fridge forever. This helps to change all that. I got exactly 1 jelly jar. I have also done this will apricots and grapefruit. Every time, this came out perfect. Ty for such a great recipe with an ease of making it..

Having read others reviews about this being a little bitter I decided to make my marmelade sans the white lining. Apart from that, I followed the recipe to a T so I'm not entirely sure what I did wrong to get a very small (1/3 of a jar), very dense pot of marmalade! I don't think the white lining can have taken up that much volume-wise so perhaps I had a bigger orange than I thought and should have added more water. I don't know. Anyway, despite being more of a lump than a liquid, my marmalade did have a really lovely flavour and it was very easy to make. I'll definitely be trying it again (either with more water or a smaller orange) so hopefully I'll have better luck next time. I'll let you know how I get on... 5th Feb - I've since made this again without the peel and white but with two oranges and a bit extra water and it was much better. Really scrummy!

What a great idea! Gives you a nice easy quick marmalade. I love it. I used an organic orange, only because I'm paranoid about what may be in the peel and it was lovely, Make it, slather it on your toast and instant orange heaven. Thanks very much!

I'm not a big fan of marmalade but those who tried this loved it. I kind of liked it too!! Also made some to give as a gift to the hosts of a dinner party I attended. Sure beats the expensive bought stuff. And it is easy enough to make any time you want it!!

Tasty ! I had alot of organic naval oranges to use up. I went beyond doubling the recipe, I did 4x's the recipe. I ended up with 3 and a half small jars. Will make a impressive gift for my in-laws. I could not wait to open my jar and use it, I was thrilled with results. So easy why would I ever buy marmalade again
