161 Reviews of Pan Release, Professional Pan Coating (Better Than Pam Spray!)

From: Chef guruow

I found this mixture to be amazing! And, easy to use. However, I make two differrent kinds. The one with flour, and one with cocoa powder instead of flour for use when making chocolate cakes. (YUM!)

this stuff is great!!! I used it in Sausage Breakfast Muffins (OAMC) after reading other reviews of the recipe sticking to the paper liners or the pan..so I tried 1 muffin with a liner (it did stick to the paper..ripped a good chunk off my muffin when pealing off the paper..1 muffin I sprayed with Pam..it stuck .. the rest of the tin I used this recipe (that I had made a few weeks ago waiting to be used for something & this was it) may I say I will never grease and flour anything again..I will only use this.. I stopped making layer cakes because I always had a problem with a piece of one or another sticking and breaking while taking out of the pan.. gonna go dig up my pans and try baking a layer cake again using this..THANK YOU this stugg is WONDERFUL..give it a try..you will be AMAZED & VERY VERY PLEASED!!!

Amazing mixture. I used Crisco vegetable oil and shortening with the flour. So happy to find this to use instead of using those cans of sprays with 'butane' listed on the can! Will try adding some cocoa to the mixture I have already made for chocolate cakes as suggested by another reviewer. Thanks for posting such an excellent recipe. Update September 30, 2006: I used this mixture today to lightly grease the grating blade on my food processor to grate the cheese for macaroni and cheese which made the blade easier to clean. It is also good for greasing a scalloped potatoes dish. Having terrific success with this mixture. Talk about easy clean up!

This worked beautifully! Thank you for suggesting this recipe in the forums. I used my brand new sand castle bundt pan and there are many nooks and crannies. This is the perfect way to grease the pan. It does make a whole lot, so I wish I would've cut the recipe at least in 1/2, but I just put the leftovers in the refrigerator like you said.

This works really well. Have been using this on frying pans, baking sheets etc for nearly a year. A disposable plastic glove is best for spreading it on. In the past I made a different mix: 1/4 cup liquid lecithin, 1/4 cup oil and 1/2 cup vodka to "non-stick" my cookware. Since the lecithin is not easily available and vodka tastes better with orange juice, I have switched to this concotion. Works just as well!

This works great! I just mix up a small batch (2T. parts) by hand when I need it. The cake just drops out of the bundt pan - it's fantastic! When making chocolate cake I use cocoa instead of flour.

This works! I used 1/2 corn oil, 1/2 flour and 1/2 fitini (vegetable shortening available in Greece) I am now finally using some gourmet muffin tins, which had been sitting in my cupboard for years, because I can finally get the muffins to slip out easily and don't have to spend hours cleaning the tins. Thanks Kitten, this recipe is the most useful I have ever found.

This is a new found staple in my pantry. I used it in a few casserole dishes and they washed up beautifully. No need to use a pot scraper. Thanks Kitten for this amazing recipe.

I cannot believe I forgot to rate this! I have used this several times, even though I would say I don't bake a lot! I made 1/2 of the recipe and keep it in my fridge! So quick and easy, not to mention, IT WORKS! I have passed this on to a few people! Thanks DoryJean54!
