One of my mostest bestest favorites! Tomato acid has a tendency to blister my mouth(strawberries do the same thing), so I sometimes add sweet pickles and/or lettuce to my sandwiches counteract the affect. Ends up like a Veggie Whopper, but much better! I also love adding cheese! Sometimes I'll put my sandwich on the George Foreman grill for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese and toast it up a bit.

I've been having these sandwiches for years (usually during the summer months). I love them! They are great!! If I feel like "cooking", I'll toast the bread before making the sandwich.

This is one of my all time favorite sandwiches to eat in the summertime. Beefsteak tomatoes with that lovely acidic taste combined with that tangy Miracle Whip. To be daring, sometimes I add a slice of Texas 1015's. Have a handtowel ready, as paper towels can't keep up. 5*'s all the way!

Brings back wonderful childhood memories...you just can't get any better than a fresh tomato sandwich! I can't do the Miracle Whip, though...I'm strictly a mayonnaise girl!

I used whole grain bread as that was all I had and low fat mayo. Fresh, just picked tomatoes from the garden really made this sandwich zing.

Love 'em in Texas too. I have to deviate from popular opinion to say I prefer mine on toasted bread or toasted bun. Not a fan of soggy bread. AND I like a couple of slices of onion on mine too.

I had never had a tomato sandwich before, but it was really good! This is a great Weight Watchers recipe if you use 35-calorie bread and lite mayo.

One of my favourite sandwiches! Easy and very satisfying!! I sometimes use tartar sauce instead of mayo, you should really try it!

I'm from Kentucky and I grew up on these, except no pepper. When pregnant with my first child, my husband thought I had lost my mind, still can't get him to try one...he thought it was a weird food craving that I was having. Oh well, he just doesn't know what he's missing.
