This pizza dough deserves the "Awesome" in it's name. I followed the recipe exactly as written as well as taking barbaciou's suggestion to prebake the crust for about 10 minutes before adding the toppings. The results were a beautifully golden brown pizza with the toppings done and the dough cooked all the way through. Thank you, HDMac.

A very good and easy pizza crust. I prebaked the crust about 10 minutes before adding the toppings since I usually have a problem getting the crust cooked before the topping burns.

Finally a pizza dough recipe that tastes great. I'll be using this one EVERY time I make pizza.. It was hard to find a good bread machine recipe for pizza dough. Thanks.

This is the best pizza dough ever. "AWESOME" for sure. I have used it several times now and it's perfect every time. I follow the recipe exactly and opt to use the additional seasoning, which I add to the flour mixture right before beginning the pizza dough cycle. McCormick Classic Pizza Seasoning works for me. I've tried it with and without, and my 21-year-old son prefers it with. I prebake dough 7 minutes before adding sauce and toppings. Dough is thick, but always light & crispy. THANKS HDMac.

This recipe did not give me the traditional pizza dough taste. I feel it needed more yeast and about 1/2 teaspoon more salt. However, it was very easy to work with and produced a crunchy crust. I have been using the Sicilian Pizza Dough recipe by Nick Stellino for years and still prefer that one.

WOW! this recipe really fits its name!! I have never made homemade pizza dough before and when I came across this recipe and seen the dough was made in the bread machine, I just had to give it a try. I am sooooo happy that I did too. It was totally AWESOME! I fellowed the recipe as it was written and I didn't have not one bit of a problem. I warmed the water in the microwave first and than added it to the bread pan than added my oil and salt than the flour, cheese, cornmeal and yeast. I ran the dough cycle and when finished I punched it down let it set alittle longer than 5 minutes. Than took out and placed in a cast iron skillet and added my toppings. The crust was thick but so goooood! I will be making this recipe from now on. It beats any dough I have made before. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome recipe.

FINALLY! My previous attempts at making pizza were OK, but never inspired. After trying this basic recipe, I finally believe I can make delicious pizza at home. This dough makes wonderful thin and crispy pizza, the cornmeal adding just the right texture. I've tested many pizza doughs and this is the one I will definitely repeat!

Very easy to make if you have a bread machine. I added fresh roasted garlic, fresh rosemary from the garden, (it survived the snow!) and fennel to the machine. The house smelled wonderful! I am not a fan of American style pizza laden with a pound of this and that, so for my homemade version I added a bit of fresh romano and Greek mizithra as a topping along with some Greek oregano and olives. Thank you! CG

I have tried many pizza crust recipes on zaar and had good results but this by far is the BEST I have ever tried. I was surprised as it was so easy and few ingredients the results were a crisp flavorful crust. Must be the addition of the corn meal. All I know is my family said this is it! Finally my search is over. Thanks sooooo much!

I'm not sure this is my favorite pizza dough, but it's pretty good. It's a substantial dough and full of flavor. I did pre-bake mine, but still had some difficulty baking the crust all the way through without burning the surface.
