Very good dinner and easy to make too. The chicken had a great sweet/oriental flavor and I think it would make an awesome chicken sandwich too, that is if there were any leftovers. I cooked the chicken for about 15 minutes in the broiler and I'm sure it would also be awesome on the grill!!

I used this marinade/sauce with boneless/skinless thighs. Made for a very nice mid-week meal with minimum fuss. I found I needed the entire 1/2 hour cooking time. Lots of pan juices too to be used up over steamed rice.

Oh this was just delicious! My whole family gobbled this chicken up in no time. I made a few slight changes by cutting the chicken into strips and preparing the sauce without the cornstarch and water. I then marinated the strips in the sauce for about 2 hours before grilling them in a stovetop grill pan. I boiled down the remaining marinade and brushed it on the chicken just before I removed it from the grill. Fantastic! I love that I have these ingredients in my pantry and can make this anytime. Thanks for a real keeper.

Fantafabulous!!! Chia. I don't have a broiler (faint clue as to what it is too) so I used a non-stick wok and cooked it. Used ordinary white vinegar. I know I must have missed out on a bit of the flavour. But it was still good. Infact I repeated the sauce with Beef(a slab of undercut) this morning for my DS and BIL's tiffin and it was excellent. Gave it in a sandwich. DH dipped into it before he left too. He had the taste of the sauce from last night to go by!!! (no leftovers - and we are 2 1/2 of us that should give you an idea of apetites around here ) Thank you!!!

All I can say it is a 5 star plus. This was so easy to make, sweet and tangy! I didn't use the Five-spice powder because we do not care for that spice. So I added an extra pinch of the garlic powder, salt and pepper and it was delicious! Thanks so much for another great recipe chia ; )

I've made this twice now and like how easy and good it was. The first time we grilled it instead of broiling, and we liked it better grilled. Also, the second time it was a little heavy on Five Spice and slightly too sweet. I would use less of the Five Spice than the other spices.

Chia, I made this with leftover turkey. I added the spices to the sauce and just mixed in the cooked turkey. My DH loved it! I served it with brown rice and a broccoli and cauliflower mix. Thanks!

Loved it!! The flavours were perfect & it was definitely quick. I pounded my chicken to a 1/4 inch thickness, as I was also afraid they wouldn't cook. Next time though, I'll reduce the amount of time under the broiler & I would definitely line my pan with aluminium foil for an easier clean up. Thank you for posting this recipe.

Made this for freezer tag, and can confirm that it freezes well. I knew I had slightly overcooked it so when defrosted it I had it cold with salad, but it would have reheated just fine, I would have done it wrapped in foil so that it didn't dry out. I really liked the flavour of this and will definitely make it again. Served it with stir fried vegetables and sesame noodles.

My DH and I liked the flavor of this recipe a lot. I found I needed more cooking time. My sauce was to thick for my taste so I will thin it a little next time. Went well with rice.
