This is a wonderful, creamy dish. The ranch dressing mix was a delightful taste. I made this recipe as directed, except I added a can or artichokes (halved), and added the sour cream about 30 minutes before I served this dish. It is flavorful, hearty, and easy to prepare. Definately a keeper in my crockpot cookbook. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

I am making this right now and the smell is WONDERFUL!! I can't imagine how good it tastes, but I did taste the sauce and YUM YUM!! By the way, The Hidden Valley Ranch packet is 80 calories for the whole packet and 0 fat calories- that's not in the Nutritional facts listed in the recipe. Super Recipe and EASY too!!

I added some squirts of regular bottled dressing,a few strips of bacon, and some sugar snap peas. Also I misread the recipe and accidentally started putting in cream cheese instead of sour cream - I had only sliced about 4 ounces into the crock pot before I caught the mistake - it tasted really good!I used bls/skls chick thighs & served it on egg noodles. It was tasty.

Fabulous! Such an easy and delicious meal! I seasoned my chicken breasts before putting them in the cooker. I waited until the last 30 minutes to add the sour cream. AND...because others complained about not having enough ranch flavor, I added 6 ounces of fat free sour cream and 2 ounces of Light Ranch Salad Dressing. My sons were LITERALLY licking their plates! I served it with seasoned rice and Potatoes in Green Beans. There was so much sauce that we put it on the chicken, on the rice, and I had sauce left over! I saved it for another meal too! Next time I might leave the sour cream out totally, take the sauce out of the crock pot, thicken it on the stove with cornstarch, and then stir in the sour cream and ranch dressing for more of a gravy than a sauce. I might also take a dab of the ranch dressing packet and sprinkle it on the chicken breasts before mixing the rest with the soup and water. This will become a regular in our rotation! Thanks for posting!!!!!

This was OK for an easy weeknight supper. We didn't think it had much ranch taste at all-- the sauce was creamy, but a little bland. I served this over pasta, and, like Miss Annie, I waited until about 30 minutes before supper to stir in the sour cream. If I make it again I'll add more ranch mix and other seasonings, also maybe some mushrooms. Thanks anyways!

A great meal! It was pure torture to have to smell it cooking all day though! Made as directed and got an excellent creamy texture with just enough sauce to pair with egg noodles on the side. I was expecting it to taste a little more like ranch dressing than it actually did, but I wasn't disappointed with the flavor it did create in the end. Will definitely be keeping this on file. Thanks so much!

This is fantastic!!! Doesn't get much easier (or tastier) than this. I cooked the thawed chicken on low for about 6 1/2 hours. Tender and delicious!

This was great. My DH usually rates any chicken dish so-so but he really enjoyed this. I used regular sour cream and regular chicken soup because that is what I had on hand. Served with a Rice Pilaf. Simple and quick too. This is definitely a keeper.

This was ok--the taste just didn't measure up to the smell. We couldn't taste the Ranch flavor at all. The gravy was too thin--probably should have omitted the water. It is, however, very easy to put together, and like I said, smells great while cooking.

The chicken turned out really nice & moist. We just weren't fussy on the flavour - too rich even with the lower fat sour cream & soup. There was also an awful lot of sauce left over - maybe it would be good on mashed potatoes?
