I think any mayo will work. I used Kraft. Also if you don't like the tang of vinegar you can use pickle juice instead. Thanks for the easy recipe. Works well with potatoes, pasta and coleslaw. Thanks again!

Tis was a great dressing, real hit with my family. I omitted the vinegar and it still tasted fantastic! This dressign could totally be used as a spread for sandwiches!! Excellent recipe.

This recipe is so close to what I use for potato salad but I am one of those cooks who adjusts as I go. I thought it would be very good to have a recipe to ensure consistency. After tasting I felt it was too vinegary so I doubled the sugar. That took care of it and for us it was perfect! Thanks for taking the time to post this recipe.

This dressing turned out wonderful!! Made as directed I wasn't exactly sure as to which type of vinegar to use...but in the end I went with cider vinegar with great results. I used this dressing for a simple potato salad...adding only some chopped spring onions.

This is very similar to my grandmother's recipe for potato salad dressing. But it is more versatile than I ever realised. Today I made a half a batch of this to dress a simple coleslaw of 1 pound of cabbage shredded and two medium carrots grated. Next time I'll try it on a cold pasta salad, because I already know how good it is on potato salad. By the way, I used Petroushka's Best Ever Homemade Mayonnaise as the base for the dressing. Thanks Jan.

Very good dressing. Not sweet which is a big plus, nice zing from the vinegar. Easy to make and very versatile. So pleased I have found this. Thanks for posting.

In honor of my sweetest friend Auntie Jan's birthday June 22nd I chose a couple of her recipes to make. I used this on pasta. Superb!!! I love the tang of it and it is not sweet at all which is good. Very versatile. Thanks Auntie Jan.
