This is exactly how I've made my vodka sauce for years (except I use one can of tomatoes and a 1/2 cup each of vodka and cream - which makes PLENTY of sauce!). I always include this in the menu whenever I'm cooking dinner for new friends. It's a sure-fire winner every time. It's just a little bit different than your typical pasta sauce - zesty and bite-y and wonderful!

Very tasty. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I added a little more garlic. Next time, I may cut this recipe in half since it made A LOT! I served it with No Garlic Garlic Bread (No Garlic Garlic Bread)-- great combination!

Rita...this is delicious, made it for supper tonight. We had Vodka leftover from New Years this year that I wanted to use up, cause we were are not vodka lovers. I had this recipe in my cookbook, and decided to give it a try, I admit, I was a wee bit leary at first wondering about using vodka, but I was certainly NOT dissapointed, the vodka gives it such a wonderful flavor, this is a recipe that I will be making again, my DH and myself enjoyed it very much. Thank you Rita for posting

This is very similar to Rachel Ray's recipe.I also add bonless, skinless chicken breast (cooked and cut up) and if kids aren't eating it,add sliced baby portobella mushrooms too.You can also substitute shallots for onion. Very yummy and easy to prepare!!!

This was a great recipe! It was fairly cheap and easy to meek (even in my tiny galley kitchen). My roommate and I loved it. I would note, however, that this recipe does make a LOT. It's great to keep for lunches! I think the vodka in the sauce was well balanced, but I did add more of the spices and parsley. I do like the ideas of adding sausage or shrimp, I'll have to try that next time. Thanks again for the great recipe!

I can't stop making this! It is so good. I use one whole packet of red peppers that come with pizza because I like it a little spicier. I make half a recipe when cooking for 2-4 and the whole recipe when cooking for more.

This is a fantastic recipe. Just the right kick to it. Served with a side salad with garlic dressing and garlic bread. This combination is combustable. LOL
