This was very yummy!! I read the other review before I made this so I only used 1/2 the sour cream at first and tasted it, then added more. Every time I added more sour cream it got better and I used what the recipe called for. I did make some small adjustments. I left out the canned mushrooms because I forgot to get some...lol. But I did add about 1/4 cup of beef broth because the mixture was very think. At the end I added about 2Tbsp. of worcestershire sauce. I only used 1/2 bag of noodles because I like a higher meat mixture to noodles. But next time I will double the mixture recipe. My DH usually complains when I make beef stroganoff due to the fact that they always serve this in the chow hall when he has to eat there. But he actually said that this was VERY good! THANKS!!! Will be making this again soon!

This was absolutely fantastic...I used small pieces of steak instead of ground beef. My boyfriend loved it!!!!

Wonderful easy comfort food! It was delicious! DH and I normally do not like stroganoff using ground beef, we prefer stew beef. However, this made me realize that I just had not found the right recipe! This may replace our verson using stew beef! This is so quick and easy. I was concerned about not draining the ground beef, especially since I was using 80/20% ground beef. However, NOT draining the beef and the butter are definitely key factors in the flavor obtained. I would also like to try fresh mushrooms, even an exotic blend next time! Wonderful and definitely a keeper! Thanks Bri22!

Fantastic, even with the low fat modifications I made. I used the leanest ground beef I can find (sometime you can get even leaner than the 93% lean), fat free sour cream, and Smart Beat Trans Fat Free Spread. That is the best tasting low fat butter there is. Most low fat butters have more than twice the fat, and the other butters that are as low in fat taste like an abomination. I also added more salt at the end and used three times the garlic. Thanks Bri, and don't let your metabolism prevent you from enjoying the foods you love. I'm sure the full fat version is better, but if you give my modifications a try (it must be Smart Beat Trans Fat Free) it may come close.

This was a very simple and good dish. I added 1 cup of beef broth when the cream of mushroom soup was added. I also took 1/3 of the egg noodles and made a cheese sauce for my kids that I did not think would eat the stroganoff. The cheesy egg noodles actually tasted yummy underneath the stroganoff. I will definitely make this again, but use fresh mushrooms instead.

This is a good basic recipe but I had to add worcheshire and A LOT of salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder to liven up the flavor. Good base recipe though!

I made this right now and I'm just waiting for the noodles to finish. I snuck a taste. YUM! This is my new beef stroganoff recipe! So good and a ton easier than some of the more complicated versions I've made that ended up being rather bland. Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going to go eat now! Mmmmmmm

Definitely yummy comfort food. I added 2 extra garlic cloves because we love garlic. I have to agree with another reviewer who said the mixture is thick, so I think next time I make this I will add beef broth to help thin it out (and darken it a bit perhaps?)...I also might try fresh mushrooms, as suggested by others. We thought the amount of sour cream was just right. This is quick and easy and I'll certainly make it again!

Never had this before and it was so simple. YUMMY!! Everyone loved it. Hubby had leftovers for breakfast. I did not have canned mushrooms so i sliced some fresh one and cooked it with the meat. This will become a regular!

My BF just declared this recipe a winner! He had never had beef stroganoff and he loved it. I liked the flavor of the stroganoff and how easy this recipe came together. I bought lean ground beef on sale so this was a very cheap and good dinner.
