OK, I have to admit it, this is the best guacamole recipe I've ever tried. It came together in just a few minutes, but the cilantro and peppers gave it a zing that many guacamole recipes lack, while still leaving the avocado the star of the dish. It reminded me very much of the fresh guacamole they make on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. It was chunky just as it should be, and I appreciate the tip on the easy way to get the avocado out of the skin. Thanks! :o)

What a great recipe! It was gone in one setting. I added canned chilies instead of the fresh peppers. It was chunky and soooo tasty. Thanks.

I got this recipe years ago from Rick Bayless--Chunky Guacamole Picado. He suggests additional fresh onion, fresh cilantro, radish slices or roses, and/or a little crumbled Mexican queso fresco or other fresh cheese like feta or farmer's cheese for garnish. He also returns the avocado pits to the guacamole and covers it with plastic wrap for a few minutes before serving to let the flavors marry. Thank you so much for posting this delicious guacamole recipe!

This to us is THE GUACAMOLE, nothing more, nothing less. Wonderful as it is, there is no comparison!

YUMMY! I left out the peppers, but this was still SO good. One person even said it was beautiful...that's a true guac lover!

This is perfect guacamole! I made this for Super Bowl Sunday and the flavor was excellent. I had never really followed a recipe for guacamole before making this one and I'm sure I'll never be satisfied again if I don't use this recipe. I left the peppers out because I don't like anything very spicy. This is a real keeper.

This had to be the best guacamole that I have ever eaten! Everyone wanted the recipe, even my sister-in-law who is not crazy about cilantro! People were scraping the sides of the bowl to get the last drop. So, I made it again for the same crowd a couple nights later. Thank you for sharing!

Oh, this was soooo good.
I was craving some guacamole, but I wanted to make it myself. This was fabulous. I'm the only one in my family that will eat guacamole, heh heh, so it was all mine.
Meal number one, it was consumed fresh. Meal number two, it had been sitting in the fridge for 24 hours, and was even better in my opinion.
Recipe was made as directed except that I used the juice of 1 lime (love that flavor).
I will definitely be making this for myself again.
Thank you!

We love this recipe; it's wonderful! We didn't use any peppers (because we didn't have any on hand) but substituted a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne instead. It was mildly spicy... which was enough for us. We will be making this one again!

I loved this recipe. I like a chunkier guacamole, so I used all the veggies in full force. It was awesome!! I will definately make this again, and I won't change a thing.
