Yummy, yummy!! I used canned tomatoes (a 28 oz can) instead of fresh, and halved the recipe. I just finished eating the leftovers for lunch, and they were just as good as the original! I wish I could make this every day, but my waistline won't allow it! It's definitely a keeper though - probably for special occasions.

If any chefs out there want to splurge on a sinfully rich dinner... THIS is the one to try! When I first looked at the ingredients, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. I've done cream sauces, I've done tomato sauces... but never a combination. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! Wonderful flavor, perfect sauce-to-pasta ratio, and surprisingly easy to make. I also halved the recipe and used a 28-oz can of chopped tomatoes. (Instead of 1 quart of cream — for a "half" recipe, I used a pint; the sauce was still extremely creamy.) Awesome recipe! Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful pasta dish! I used some spicy chicken sausages that I sliced and sauteed instead of crumbled and canned diced tomatoes instead of the fresh romas. I can imagine that the flavor would be even better with the fresh tomatoes. I very easily cut the recipe back to make a 9x9 pan of pasta for just Hubby and myself. The leftovers rewarmed well for lunches in the following days.

This was wonderful! I used canned tomatoes instead of fresh and it was just fine. Also, I only had some dried basil--it was fine but I can't wait to get my hands on some fresh--I bet it's even better. I had left-overs and two days later took some for lunch and I think it was even better then! I made homemade Italian bread with this and will certainly be making this comforting dish again!

Fantastic!! This was a wonderful recipe. I made only 1/4 of it because I knew the kids would not care for the mushrooms and peppers (so I made them regular spagetti and meatballs), but they loved it and just ate around them. I used 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of light cream. Next time I will play around with using 1/2 & 1/2 and maybe a little corn starch to thicken, that should cut some calories? I did use mild turkey sausage, 8 oz fresh sliced mushrooms, 1 yellow pepper, and 4 large roma tomatoes. It was a definite keeper. Thank!!

This was really good. I took it to a get together with friends and everyone really enjoyed it. I halved the recipe with no problems. It did take me quite a while in prep time, but well worth it. I might try canned tomatoes next time for convenience. (I wasn't sure how much butter to use in the sauce and for the mushrooms, so I just did half and half. Make sure to keep extra cheese to sprinkle on top!) Thanks for the great recipe!

This was soooooo good. Next time I'm going to try using evaporated skim milk in place of the cream for a more waist healthy alternative. Tasted wonderful just the way it is. Perfect for an office party or big family gathering!

Excellent recipe - we all enjoyed it. The only thing I would do differently next time is to use less pasta so it would be "juicier" because the sauce is just terrific. Definitely a keeper.

This is perhaps the best food I have ever made. with two minor flaws. The recipe is set up to feed a small nation. Cut it in half and its still to much for the average family. The second issue is that this thing tastes so good it has to fall into that category of not good for you like candy and such. a gazillion calories per serving means that I can't eat this to much even though I can't get enough of it. Cudo's to the inventor no matter what

WOW! Sooo awesome. I made the full recipe, but switched out one of the quarts of heavy whipping cream with Half & Half. I also didn't have any tomatos, so I threw in a jar of Barilla. This recipe is foodgasm worthy and will become a regular in our home.
