Fantastic recipe! Easy to make and the rice cooks perfectly. I did add 1/4 tsp of ground turmeric to mine in addition to s&p and it gave just a bit more color, which was very nice. This will be a regular in my collection! Thanks for posting!

I've made this before and we had enjoyed it. I did substitute the chicken broth with Maggi vegetable broth with onions(made it by dissolving 2 cubes of Maggi veg. broth in 3 cups of water). I'd also cut down on the oil by 1 tbsp. This is a very nice rice dish and definitely, a keeper!

We love this rice! Have made it several times and sorry to say forgot review it ! I thought I had. I often use the dried garlic slices and brown basmati rice. Other than that I used the recipe as written. Love the combination of flavours, thanks for sharing a great rice recipe!! — posted Jun 26, 2004, 1 member found this helpfulUPDATE: Made this rice tonight to go with lamb chops, it was a lovely match, used long grain brown this time and had to cook it for about 45 minutes, love the garlic and onion with the thyme and bay, great combination, thanks again for a good one!

This rice is delicious and there is no way we would be able to feed 6 people with this - the servings mentioned are strict dietician servings!
Very tasty

This is a good tasting rice. It was definitely a nice light side to the tilapia we made. It just needed a hint more flavor.. maybe a bit more garlic and a hint of salt and pepper? I'm gonna try this again :O) Thank You

This recipe has become a stable in my flat. It's easy to make, it's wonderfully flavourful, and works wonderfully with just about any chicken dish. In addition to the stuff listed, I added some garlic salt as well, because I like garlic and because I like salt. =D -j

This was delicious rice! I made it exactly according to your directions, and it turned out perfectly with the 25 minute simmering time. We enjoyed this with Mirj's Caramelized Chicken with Almonds #15619, and they were a terrific combo. Thank you for posting this delicious recipe! Dianne

What a wonderful side dish! I used cilantro instead of parsley (personal pref); other than that followed the recipe exactly. I served this with shrimp and scallop Parmesan - wonderful combination. Thanks Bergy, for the fantastic (will be much repeated) recipe.
