Andy, this was great fried rice. Wow, the crunch of the sesame seeds sends this one over the top. I substituted 1tsp of the soy sauce for fish sauce (mine is especially salty or I would have used more), added 1T sugar and 1/4tsp white pepper, no salt was needed. This was positively addictive made with brown basmati rice.

Yum, yum, yum! I have always loved the rice at Benihana's and now I can eat it on the cheap whenever I please. One thing to note: use japanese short-grain rice rather than the more common long grain US rice, or it won't be just like what they give you in the restaurant.

This is an AWESOME recipe. My family couldn't get enough of this rice. My brother even ate it right out of the frying pan and said this is all he needs for dinner.

This was an awesome recipe and very quick and easy to put together. I loved the sesame seeds.... they really made this recipe complete. I used 3 cups of rice and followed the recipe as stated. Yummo!!! thanks for sharing!

Followed this for a half sized recipe and it turned out great. Can't think of anything I'd change. Thank you for posting!

Amazing! I think I'll add a few peas next time, but it was really outstanding and so easy to make.

This was really good and my family enjoyed it. I added a little fish sauce and didn't use the sesame seeds. My kids would have never forgiven me for putting seeds in their rice! I'll be making this again!

I selected this recipe because I had all these ingredients on hand. Had I known it would turn out so well, I would have gone to the store to buy them : ) Great recipe, quick, easy and delicious!

BEWARE! Benihana uses a special garlic butter recipe as well as soybean oil to grease the skillet. This recipe here was dissapointing. My fiance and I go to Benihana once a week and this is NOT the recipe. Decent though.
