I too rate it as oustanding. This is the first Upside down cake I've ever made. Late bloomer I suppose. :>> I will look no further for another recipe, I'll stick with this one. It is very tasty and moist, vanille pudding is a great idea.

Deserves at least 15 stars. This cake is incredibly moist and delicious. I used crushed pineapple instead of sliced pineapple. This cake is in a class of it's own. It was a big hit at work - everyone wanted the recipe. Thanks for posting this recipe.

This is a very moist, rich and delicious cake. I made it for a Birthday and there were no leftovers. Just a note: I couldn't find a pineapple cake mix so a used a yellow cake mix and added 1 teaspoon of pineapple flavoring to it. It was perfect. I've had people ask for the recipe and I will make this again.

I can't rate this cake because I made it for a fund raiser at my DD's school. I need to add some advise to others doing this recipe. If the cake mix already has pudding in the mix don't add the other pkg. in the recipe. I did and I had some trouble getting it to bake. I also put it in a 2 quart round glass dish( I was thinking it would look better.). Don't was DARK brown sugar mind did not look as nice as the photo. It took 75 minutes to cook and this only happened after it spilled over the top and into the oven. I did in the end get a very nice cake for the fund raiser. And I can't wait to try this for the family, it was avery good learning experiance.

This recipe makes and really delicious cake! It was featherlight and very, very moist. I did beat it longer than 2 minutes (I didn't quite have my act together). I baked it in a 9x13 glass dish that was sprayed with Pam and I didn't have any problem with getting it out of the pan. It makes a very impressive and pretty cake. Thanks for a great recipe!

I made this for my dad's birthday cake. I didn't have any cherries, so I used walnuts in the centers instead. I also added 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. My dad loved it-He had two pieces in a row!

Excellent! I followed recipe exactly. Next time might increase oven temp to 350° as I had to bake it for 65 minutes. Also, it doesn't say to spray the pan but think I will next time since the sides of the cake kind of stuck to the pan when I turned it over. The taste is wonderful and addicting!!!
