These burger rock, Cher! I sauteed fresh mushrooms and I added green onion to the mayo mix, other than that, I didn't change a thing and they were just outstanding. Very much like something you would find in an upscale bistro. We really enjoyed these, the flavors just worked perfectly with the smoky flavors from grilling the burgers. We will have these often - thanks for posting!

These burgers are SO GREAT! We loved these. I did cut this by half as there are just the two of us. We ended up with 3 burgers, leaving one extra for us to fight over. I made this exactly as stated, except I used sliced, fresh mushrooms, instead of the jar mushrooms. Really easy to make recipe, that raises the usual backyard burger to a whole new level! I will definatley make these again.

I cannot believe I never reivewed this SUPERB recipe. I tried them on a whim last summer and hubby and I loved the result. In looking for the recipe this weekend to make again, realized I never reviewed it. If you want an easy, delicious different twist on your burgers, this is a MUST try recipe. Thanks Cher for a yummy recipe.

I agree with the others - these are wonderful. I have to admit I was a bit sceptical over the mayo but it works nicely. Thanks - this is definitely a keeper!

The topping for these burgers was awesome! Instead of the peppers, we used onion soup mix to flavor the meat. We will definitely be using that topping again...and not just for burgers! I'm thinking steak, chicken, baked potatoes...

Wow, awesome burger. DH agrees this is one great burger. In fact 3 times before he finished eating he asked me to put it in our favorites file! I have never seen this happen before, and we have been married 20 years. Thank you so much for a truly great recipe!

OMG! Guess what? These were a winner! We loved the "special sauce" You know what though, after I finished my burger, I remembered I forgot the onion. If you are like us, you NEED the onlon. We love onions.. But obviously we ate it and loved it without the onion too!! Thanks for sharing!!

Im honestly not a big red meat fan but these were the best burgers i think ive ever had, we dont like mushrooms so left those out and had no hot sauce, we used half pepper jack and half cheddar cheese.
