The is a very filling crowd pleaser! The top is crisp and the inside is light and airy. I didn`t fride overnight just let sit for one hour and baked. We had it for dinner. This can be eaten at any meal. I used 3 cups cooked, sliced hot sausage. A bunch is a bunch is a bunch! So I used 1/2 cups sliced green onions. The shredded cheese was 3 cups. Good stuff!

OMG this recipe is exactly what I have been looking for. I also added chopped green chiles to the casserole also. Definitely a keeper! Thanks!

This recipe is wonderful. I must confess that I left out the green onions because DH doesn't care for them, but it was delicious without them. I used a day old loaf of white bread with the crusts removed so I cut the light cream (half and half) down to 2 1/2 cups vs 3. If you are thinking that the liquid amount may be a bit high, it really is right on. I also used an extra 4 ounces of cheddar cheese in addition to the cheese called for. The swiss cheese was a nice added flavor. I am thankful for Rita's review stating she only waited 1 hour to bake vs overnight because I found myself in a similar situation. I prepped it and refrigerated for about 3 hours and baked exactly 1 hour. It came out perfect. Moist but done. This recipe is divine Nimz, DH went back for thirds! Thanks for sharing. Nick's Mom

This recipe is very good. My family just loves breakfast casseroles. I followed the recipe exactly except I only put green onions on 1/2 of it. My DD hates onions. Made for 1,2,3 Hit Wonders 07.
