i loved this dish! the spices were just right and the lamb was very tender. i added 2 large potatoes, cut in eigths to the mix for almost the last half hour, then added the fresh spinach, and yogurt. i served this over basmati rice, very tasty

The heat and combination of spices in this dish were amazing! In that regard, I wouldn't change a thing. I did find, however, that 900g of spinach was too much (I would halve it) and that the yogurt curdled when I put it in, even though I took the curry off the heat before adding in the yogurt. Honestly, I don't think the yogurt added a lot and next time I would leave it out. I used pre-cooked lamb (leftovers from our roast), which shortened the cooking time, and also added four peeled and chopped tomatoes. There was certainly enough for four people here, and I think you could stretch it to five or six if you added a couple side dishes. I served it with lynzmk's Easy Pilau Rice #55802, my homemade mango chutney #84244 and popadums.

I really liked this. I thought the blend of flavors was really good and the meat was nice and tender. It was spicy though and BF found it much too spicy and said he couldn't eat it... but we're really not big on spicy foods. Like Chia we added a couple potatoes, which was really a nice addition and really yummy. I agree with the other reviewers that 900g spinach would be too much- we used a little more than a pound of baby spinach. We served over brown basmati rice with lots of yogurt (spicy!). I'd say we got about 6 servings. Thanks for posting, I would make this again, but tinker with it a bit.

Great recipe! I had been inspired by another (much fussier) recipe combining lamb and spinach when I saw this one. I'm glad I did and I served it to some friends that we'd spent a year in India with. Tough crowd and we all gave it two thumbs up. Made it "as is" except that it seemed that 900g spinach was a bit much so used a 1lb bag torn up. I will also make sure that the chili is a hotter one and adding the potatoe sounds like a good idea, depending on what you serve this dish with.

My first time making my favorite Indian dish. I didn't really measure the spices, used jalepeno peppers (which I think cut the heat a bit), used 1 1/2 packages of baby spinach, and no yogurt, but it still came out great. Followed Sackville's advice and made the Easy Pilau rice--which was very very yummy!

Totally Outstanding!!! Easy to follow recipe that made a fantastic sauce, i used the last of my spinach from the garden and it was the best. Better than anything we have eaten at an Indian restaurant!!! I will definatly be making this again!

Thanks sarah for the yummy recipe. It was easy and great tasting, but I found that even though I added the amount of chillie it asked for, it still wasn't that hot.

I really enjoyed this receipe. Next time I will add an extra green chilli to it. We added the potatoe as suggested and accompanied it with a tomato and cucumber lime zest salad and naan bread. Perfect meal, flavours are great

I made us a half recipe of this and would up the chilli next time otherwise flavours were very good. I tasted it before adding the yoghurt and have to say I liked the extra tang that it gave the dish. It seems like a long list of ingredients but is very quick to get toghether and cooking.
