Who needs Bisquick with a recipe like this? In an effort to improve my family's diet a little, I am trying to switch to whole-wheat recipes where possible. We love our pancakes so I am glad I found this one! We followed the directions as written, and we got 20 delicious, good sized, light and fluffy pancakes! We added blueberries to half the batch and I have to admit, I liked these best when they were plain...just a spritz of butter spray, no syrup or other embellishments. They are slightly sweet yet hearty and you would never know they were...aaack...good for you! Thanks for the recipe.

I thought these were going to be heavy, but they are surprisingly light and taste great. I added only about 2 tablespoons of oil rather than 1/2 cup. I also added some ground flax and chopped walnut. A very fast, easy and delicious recipe for a great, healthy breakfast.

these are beautiful delicious pancakes! Here's a tip-use Bob's Redmill brand whole wheat pastry flour. They taste great with other brands(I've tried), but with Bob's, you CANNOT tell they're whole wheat! They just have more flavor and depth than regular pancakes. Try it out and see for yourself. Thanks for a good whole wheat recipe

These were delicious! I knew they were going to be wonderful the minute I saw the batter. We really like to try and eat whole wheat when it comes to things like bread and pasta, but I had never found a simple substitute for wholewheat PANCAKES until now! Thank you.

This is a very good recipe. I've tried many pancake recipes and this one is the best and to to it off it's healthy. I did modify the recipe. I used 1 cup flour, 1/2 c whole wheat flour, and 1/2 c cornmeal. Next time I'll try using a little more whole wheat flour and cut down on the regular white flour.

Great recipe. I sub out the 1/2 cup of oil and replaced with 3/4 cup of apple sauce. Worked great. Light and fluffy. Low fat altertitive.

I can't believe I haven't rated these yet. These are the best!! I have got so many people hooked on these pancakes! We all use skim milk and substitute all of the oil for unsweetened applesauce. We have also made waffles out of these and they turn out awesome too! I use a 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake, and get about 16-17 pancakes out of the recipe. They taste great out of the freezer and into the toaster too!!

Wow!!!!!!!! I was skeptical but, these are better than any mix, frozen or white flour from scratch pancakes I ever had. My kids loved them. I made small ones b/c my kids like the frozen minis bought at the store. I used a med. size cookie scooper and made 32 pancakes. Now I can feel good when we eat pancakes. I will freeze them and heat in the mornings as needed. Thank you sooooooo much for this recipe!

My husband made these for me since I'm trying to incorporate more whole grains into my diet. They were the best pancakes I've ever had! He made a few changes that worked well. 1) Used buttermilk instead of regular milk 2) Reduced oil to 1/3 cup 3) Sprinkled in some chopped walnuts.
