Now you can add one more kid to the list who loves these paints that are not only a whole load of fun in the bathroom, but also which serve the purpose of cleaning(indirectly). I made these this afternoon and my fun time with these paints lasted for 30 whole minutes! I did try them the first time using a whole tbsp. of cornflour, but that made the paint too thick. So, I re-did this using 1/2 a tbsp. of cornflour and slightly over 1/3 cup of dishwashing soap(I dont get Joy dishwashing soap where I live, so I substituted with Orange Lux Progress With Vitamin E). This worked well(the consistency was wonderful). I also would like to say that the idea of using toothpicks to mix food colour in the ice cube tray is AMAZING! I enjoyed doing that! I used rose-red pink food colour and green colour. This filled 7 sections of the ice cube tray. It looked very pretty using a combo of alternate red and green colours. These paints washed off beautifully too leaving my bathroom shining and glowing! Don't ask me what I wrote using these paints in the bathroom - that's a Biggggggggggggg Secret the kid in me will hide deep within her heart

These are GREAT! My kids had the best time with these. Note: it did stain the grout (the red anyway) but it came off after a few washings. No biggie - it was worth the fun they had! Totally easy and totally genius! EDIT: I use handwashing soap with no problem - the store brand - and even off-white. This is always a quick "look how cool your mom is" type of thing.

My son (4 yr old) loves these paints. They are so expensive in the stores. Thanks so much for the post.

I have done this recipe for years my kids do love it. If the paint is not thick enough for you, just add more cornstarch.

I love anything that keeps my kids playing happily in the bathtub. I just used regular liquid handsoap which was light blue in color but once the food color was added, you couldn't tell the difference. Kids loved it!

The kids loved these! Used Ultra Ivory Classic Scent dishsoap and think any mild clear or white dishsoap would work. Washes right off the kids and tub without staining. I stepped in the ice cube tray and made a huge mess, but it came right off the grout without a problem. Small squeeze bottles work great, and washcloths make nice paint canvases for the little artists. Thanks for posting!

I had a bathroom wall to clean and I thought "Why don't I have some fun as well?" There you have it!

this worked really well. I used clear baby shampoo/soap so it would not burn if it got in their eyes, and gentle on the skin. Smelled good too.
