This makes a delicious pie! I made it using McIntosh apples, so I only used 3/4 cup sugar and sprinkled 2 Tbsp flour on top to counteract their moistness. I also used a full tsp of cinnamon, because I love cinnamon! It turned out terrific! I took it to a family gathering, and everyone raved about it. I'll be making this again and again!

Made this for a parents meetinng. EVERYONE LOVED IT! Next time I'll bake it longer, as the bottom crust was still gooey.

This is a great, basic apple pie. I used granny smith apples and reduced the amount of butter. My father's favorite pie is apple, and I made this as one of the desserts for our Thanksgiving meal.

would have been perfect except a little too much sugar! I think only half as much is needed. Also it took 1 hour 15 to be done. Still really easy and tasty.

Delicious apple pie! It was simple to make and didn't take a whole lot of time. The crust came out golden and filling was just the right amount of spice and sweetness. I used half golden green apples and half gala. The only set back that it turned out a little watery, perhaps due to the apples I used. I will add some cornstarch to thicken it up next time.

This recipe was very easy and I also reduced the amount of sugar by half. But I will have to admit I used a mixture of fresh apples and bosc pears. Absolutely delicious!

Very good, I did decrease the sugar to 3/4 c. as others recommended, instead of topping the crust w/reg. sugar I generously topped it w/demerara sugar for a little 'crunch' Thanks ellie_-

This was the most simple recipe to make! My 2yr old daughter helped and had a blast. There was not a slice left after dinner!
