My sister and I used to make this when we were kids; as soon as I saw the recipe I knew I would have to make it for my daughters, lol. At first they thought I was crazy but once they tried it they were hooked, too. I love the buttery/oat combo and anything with salt is good! Thanks so much for bringing back an old childhood memory for me and making a new one for my girls.

Such a great snack! I didn't even need to add salt, the butter alone was salty enough for me. I added parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Soooo good. Thank you for the recipe!

We make this at home, it's a family recipe, but we use beau monde (sp?, celery salt, and garlic salt...it's awesome!

I haven't tried this recipe, but I make one that is almost just like this one!! Instead of salt, I use garlic salt. Sometimes I'll put soy sauce & worchester sauce in with the butter to give it more a tast like party mix. I can't beleive I saw this recipe on here! I thought I was the only one who ate stuff like this! I used to eat this when I was kid & now my daughter loves them too!

My Mom use to make this. She added soemthing else to it but I can't remember what it was. It tastes pretty close to popcorn. Thanks Pumpkie. Bullwinkle.

This was good, the kids liked it. I added a hand full of pecans. My husband use to make something like this only he used unsweeted puffed wheat.

YUM! and so easy! I was having a carb craving so whipped up a batch. Added a bit of cayenne pepper and seasoning salt - so delicious!! May flavour with garlic the next time. Thank you for this recipe.
