490 Reviews of My Family's Favorite Sloppy Joes, or Pizza Joes

This is pretty good! It tastes less barbecuey than I thought it would with the sauce in it (I used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce), but that was fine as it gave it more of a sloppy joe flavor. The one thing about this recipe is that it has too much celery in it (and I only used 2 of the 3 ribs of celery called for). The celery taste was competing with the meat flavor a bit much. I think next time I will stick to just one rib, because I do think the sauce was pretty good and would prepare this again. Thanks for posting!

Followed recipe exactly and got perfect sloppy joes. Served on buns with shredded velveeta and they were delicious. I would probably add some diced green pepper the next time only cause I love green bell pepper, not because the recipe needs adjustment. Served with macaroni salad on the side. Great dinner!

These really are good sloppy joes and much-enjoyed by my kids (who got as much on them as in them). Spicy, but not over-the-top, making them very kid-friendly.

The flavors meld so well in this recipe. I've been searching for the 'perfect' sloppy joe recipe and for my family, this is it. Try this sloppy joe recipe. I think you'll like it, too.

Great meal! Found out I was a little short on ground beef so I chopped up a leftover smokie to make up the difference. I used That Bobbie girl's barbque sauce Bobbie-Q Sauce (Barbecue Sauce) for the bar b que sauce and served this on homemade buns Homemade Buns. How did I ever make supper without Recipezaar?

This was very good and easy. We thought it tasted like a cross between a sloppy joe and a bar-b-q sandwich. Yummy! I didn't put in as much celery and added green pepper. I'm going to make it for my family and friends on the 4th of July!

After reading some other reviews, I added a green pepper, only cut 1 stalk of celery and used 2 types of Kraft BBQ sauce (hot and brown sugar). My husband and son loved it! I will definitely make this from now on rather than buying Manwich!

I will definitely make this again. I used 1 celery stalk, used Sweet Baby Ray\'s sauce and added a chopped green pepper. Loved it very much. I let mine simmer longer to soften the green pepper and celery. MMMMmmmm...Thanks for a great recipe.
