Great Aussie meal, as a variation I used the spiced oil from marinated Fetta cheese for the pan, absolutely superb without gravy, just some chile sauce.

I made this last night with the leftover beef roast instead of the mince and it was delicious. Instead of frying I baked them in the oven and they crisped up and kept their shape. I'm afraid I didn't make the onion gravy, but served them accompanied with pasta and fresh tomato/basil sauce. Thanks Chrissy as I hadn't tried an Ausiie rissole before - it's a right of passage for this Pommie girl!

My four year old helped me to make these and she devoured them! I can't remember the last time she ate her dinner so quickly! These rissoles are delicious and although I had onion gravy to serve with them, no one wanted to add it. They didn't want to "spoil" the flavour
Thanks Chrissyo for such a wonderful recipe!

These rissoles were delicious! I found this recipe made HEAPS of (about 20) small-sized rissoles (about 7cm in diameter) & I flattened them a tiny bit. I served with gravy (Basic Gravy ) & mashed potato & veges, which made a hearty meal for the family. We also had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. A great recipe, thanks Chrissyo

Oops, I apparently forgot to rate this recipe and only noticed my error today. I have been asked continually to make these again and also to BBQ for hamburgers.

Chris this is my mum's recipe, only difference is the mustard. I was just about to post it, I'm getting all the old favourites posted for my family to access, and you saved me the trouble of posting this one. This will go straight into my public ‘favourites’ cookbook, they were always a favourite with our family. Thanks so much. Glen.

I made these last weekend and they were absolutely delicious. I made them exactly as the recipe suggested. For the herbs I used thyme and parsley from my garden. These rissoles have a lovely savory flavour and they held together beautifully while cooking. I served them with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and corn on the cobb. Everybody loved them and there were no leftovers.

Yum! I served over mashed potato topped with a nice thick gravy that included some chunky onion pieces.

These are wonderful! I halved the recipe and still got 8 rissoles. Followed exactly except for leaving the breadcrumbs out and they held together well. For herbs I used Sage, Thyme and Parsly fresh from the garden. DH can be picky and he liked these so much he asked to have the leftover ones for dinner tonight! Two days in a row? Going to be cooking these a lot for sure! Thanks for such a great easy dinner. :-D
