13 Reviews of Ice Water Potatoes

From: Janet2

On Mar 25, 2004

Deanna...what a great recipe!!! It fits all of my requirements: full of flavor, easy, yet different. This is the second time I made these. 4 teenage boys ended up here for supper. Thinking it might be rude to horde them all for ourselves, we shared. (Against my better judgment.) BIG MISTAKE. By the time I got to them, there were about 4 really little pieces left, but they were fantastic!!! All of these kids just went nuts over them. I sat back and basked in the glory!!!! Thanks

This is a great recipe. I used red skinned potatoes and followed the recipe exactly as stated. Everyone loved these potatoes. I will definately be making this recipe again. Thanks for posting!

I made these tonight for supper and they were delicious. I made them just as the recipe stated only I cut the potatoes in chunks instead of wedges. We loved them. I will be making my roast potatoes this way from now on. Thanks for a terrific recipe deanna.

Such a simple method of preparing potatoes give such a delicious result. I added a little more garlic, but that's just my own personal preference. And I baked them 35 minutes. They had a wonderful flavor just bursting with fresh garlic. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us deamma c

Very yummy! With butter and garlic, how could it be anything but? I used 2 large garlic cloves and yukon gold potatoes, cooked a bit longer until the bottoms browned and used a little Kosher salt before serving. I would suggest getting two cast iron skillets and making a double batch. Thanks deanna, for a simple and delicious side dish!

Thank you, these were different and very nice. Mine I found though, took roughly close to an hour to cook, maybe I had too many, or could be just my oven. these were delicious anyway, thankyou for submitting, will be using again and again. Foodlover1

These were so good. Followed the recipe exactly and they turned out crispy on the outside and nicely done on the inside.
