I think the topping gives these biscuits most of their flavor and they are best eaten warm from the oven (the leftovers seemed to be "chewier" after sitting for a few hours). Easy to make and a good alternative for low fat biscuits.

If I were you, I would memorize this recipie, then burn all traces of it and horde it selfishly - it's fabulous! So easy, low fat, and everyone loved them. I Had to add about 3 tbs buttermilk because the mix was too dry, and I used just plain old Jiffy baking mix and plain margarine instead of what was listed, but otherwise followed this exactly. This is excellent!!

These biscuits baked up nice, and I liked the buttermilk in them, but I think they need a little more seasoning. If I would make them again, I'd add a little more seasoning to them.

Yummo! I must admit, I did use regular baking mix. I served to my DH without the garlic powder, but I used it and it was delicious! Thank you Mariposa, for a low fat way to get my cheese and biscuits!

I don't ever eat at Red Lobster, so I don't know how authentic they taste, but my family enjoyed them. The garlic butter on top really helped give them a lot of flavor. The one complaint I have is that the biscuit itself was kind of dry. I would definitely serve these with soup, or a casserole that needed to be mopped up.

Completely a favorite with the whole family. Used garlic salt instead of garlic powder; delicious!

These were pretty good, but since I don't normally eat biscuits, I don't have to find a WW recipe to satisfy a Red Lobster Cheddar biscuit craving; I preferred the 2 previous full-fat versions I had tried recently. On the other hand, my MIL will give her rating tomorrow — she would live off RL cheese biscuits if she could. However, this had just the right amount of "butter". Thanks for posting this version, Kannwilson. Made for I Recommend Tag based on the recommendation of Andi of Longmeadow Farm.

Made and reviewed for PAC Spring '07. Just delicious is right! Yum, these are just perfect, especially done as a lower fat option. Easy to put together, had everything on hand. The only change I made was using jalapeno-jack cheese, because that was in the fridge, and this worked out wonderfully! Thanks, Wendelina!
