Super fast and easy. Good basic recipe for traditional mac and cheese with a good amount of cheese sauce. My picky toddler had three servings, a record! No more complicated than the boxed stuff, but so much better. I'd put the servings at 4-6. Thanks, Marie!

THIS IS FANTASTIC! I am sitting here right now eating this and I am in seventh heaven. I made this to feed one and didn't have gf macaroni so used penne instead. Used gf flour and served with a bit of ketchup on the side - the way i like it. Thanks for posting. Happy cooking. Miss Pixie x x x :D

I am with LonghornMama, as posted this recipe serves 4 to 6 people. I cut the recipe in half and got 2 generous servings. I used nonfat dry milk powder with 3/4 cup of water. Part of the cheese was a smokey process cheese which added to the creaminess. One of the reviewers mentioned a strong flour taste, I used 1 tablespoon of flour with 1/2 teaspoon arrowroot starch. Served this with spinach and carrots for a deliciously quick meal.

Easy and probably would be a kid-pleaser. Not quite zippy enough for me and my hubby. I used extra sharp cheddar. I wonder if adding some dry mustard might perk it up a little? Seems I remember that ingredient in some of the old time recipes.

My BF devoured this mac n' cheese! I used 1/2 the flour, as suggested in the reviews and it came out really good, in just as much time as the boxed crap!

i rated this recipe for taste...tasted the flour too much. it was very quick and easy to prepare. i only wish i was a better cook to know how to remedy the flour taste without compromising the consistency. thanks for posting.

I have made this for a long time, although I do change one thing. I put this in the oven after it is all mixed together, sprinkle cheese on the top as well an bake for about 1/2 hour. I just love this!

This was exactly what I have been looking for. I saw this very similar recipe in the williams & sonoma kids cookbook. Since all I was interested in was the macaroni & cheese, I was thrilled to find it here. Thanks! Oh, and it's delicious!

My 16 mo. old has started her picky eater stage. Lately, she's been wanting nothing but yogurt and macaroni and cheese. The stuff out of the box had been an old standby for me, but I was reluctant to give it to her every day. I'm so glad to have found this recipe. I made it with whole wheat elbow macaroni (double the fiber) and a mixture of cheedar and american cheese. Tastes even better (but not drastically different), is most assuredly less processed and thus healthier, and is just as easy as cracking open a box of Kraft. Thanks!
