Excellent sauce! And easy, too, that's a big plus! I made a double batch to use on chicken drumsticks and thighs. We really loved it, TBG. We always have these ingredients on hand, so it will become an often used recipe around here. We usually partially boil our chicken pieces, then put them on the grill, and baste with sauce, that way they don't overcook. Did that with this sauce, and the flavor was just delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

I just made up a batch of this and doubled it. Wow!!! I love it!!! I am putting it on country style ribs tomorrow. I think I will go to Bj's and buy the industrial size bottle of Heinz ketchup. I will be making this from now on instead of buying the bottled ones. You have yourself a real winner here TBG!!! Thanks for posting...

I NEVER have luck making BBQ sauce, but this is excellent! It tasted great as-is (took the suggestion for using 1/8 cup sugar), but I like mine with a bit more bite, so I added a tablespoon of Heinz chili sauce and about 6 dollops of Tabasco. Perfect!

The sauce was really good! A little too much zing for me so next time I'll only add 1/2 tsp chili powder and maybe a bit more worchestershire sauce. Thanks

I am making another review, updating my last one. I tried this recipe and added leftover pot roast that I had made (the roast I bought was too big for the three of us, so we ate on it for two nights and I took a slab by itself and froze it for another time). I just made the sauce as is, shredded the thawed roast and let it cook for about 30 minutes. My hubby asked me what BRAND of barbecue beef I had bought LOL. He loved this sauce on grilled food but didn't even think to try it this way. I am gonna try making it as sloppy joes next. Thanks!!!!

what a great BBQ sauce! I omitted the sugar/honey and found it perfect! Used it to make sloppy joes. It also makes a wonderful BBQ pizza sauce. Thanks for the fantastic recipe.

ThatBobbieGirl, you rock and so does your barbecue sauce! I only made a few changes by using 2 T. Splenda brown sugar blend instead of sugar or honey. I also added about a 1/2 T. of Dry Mustard, a dash of liquid smoke, and just a dollop of blackstrap molasses. It was heavenly! I'll be making this again this weekend, but this time I think I will make up a big huge batch as I doubt I will ever buy barbecue sauce again. Thanks for sharing this fantastic recipe!

This was great sweet barbeque sauce. I prepared it for grilled pork loin that was sliced thinly for sandwiches. I had considered adding a bit more heat to the sauce, but decided to leave it as is. Even the kids love the pork sandwiches. We will be making this again.

This is a great sauce for grilled chicken. Easy to put together and oh so flavorful. I also cut the chili powder to 1/2 tsp because I was afraid 1 tsp would be too much. I can't wait to make this again with ground beef. This is a real winner. Thanks you so much, ThatBobbieGirl ! ! !

This BBQ sauce is yummy. ThatBobbieGirl made some for me. I thought she spent hours making it. Apparently it's much easier than I thought!
