Amazingly fresh tasting, delicious salsa that no one would believe started off with cans.
I added some fresh cilantro, fresh lime juice and a minced garlic clove to brighten this up a little bit. The cumin is a great added flavor dimension and I know we will be making this salsa often. Thanks!

This is very good and very easy to make. I suggest making it a day before and letting is sit in the fridge overnight. This will make all the flavors come together.

It's Super Bowl Sunday and we are just having a family party so I'm just throwing stuff together. I just made it and it's sitting in the fridge. I had to try it right away though and it was good. I'm sure it will only get better as it chills. Even though I ate Chili's Chips and Salsa along with their top shelf margarita
(and I LOVED it) all the time in college it's been awhile since I've had it so I don't remember what it was like. I added some black pepper because even though I'm from Texas and we never had black pepper in our salsas, here in Idaho the salsas always have black pepper so now I'm kinda used to it and it gave it some extra flavor. I also didn't put quite 4 tsp. of jalapenos in it. It was more like 3 1/2 tsp. I like hot but I didn't want it to be too much. Update: Made it again (Aug. 2006) with fresh tomatoes from the garden instead of the can of whole tomatoes. Also, use fresh jalapenos and add some cilantro! Fabulous! Thanks for the great recipe!

I took this to work today. Everybody thought it was great and asked for the recipe. It is really easy to make. I made three cups and didn't have enough room in my food processor for all of the whole tomatoes. It still turned out wonderful! Great Recipe!

LOVE IT! I used a can of stewed tomatoes and one of Rotel Mexican tomatoes and threw in a can of chopped green chilis. Didn't have the fresh jalapenos, so I used pickled. Didn't use the food processor, I just roughly chopped, but boy what a nice salsa. The whole family enjoyed this on nachos while watching the Super Bowl. I wasn't sure if I was to drain the second can of tomatoes, so I did. We have plenty of salsa leftover, good enough for a Mexican meal tonight. Thanks!

This was way better than I expected it to be. I did drain the can of tomatoes with green chiles plus I added about 1 tablespoon of red vine vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic from a jar. I placed everything in the blender and pulsed for a couple of seconds at a time, checking each time because I wanted mine kinda chunky. Great recipe!

By far the best salsa I have ever had. I used canned, diced tomatoes rather than whole and real garlic and salt, rather than garlic salt. Shared a portion with my good friend who shared it at work and all coworkers also loved it. My whole stash is gone in less than 48 hours. No more store bought stuff for my house!

I make this salsa all the time and everyone loves it. I double the jalapenos to make it hot enough for our taste. I definitely recommend letting it chill in the fridge at least for a few hours. It is so much better that way!

I'm so sorry I forgot to review this excellent recipe. I've been making it for months now and it gets rave reviews every time. I cannot believe that you can get such a fresh-tasting salsa by using canned tomatoes. Thank you for posting this great recipe.

Yum yum yum!!! This is super good and easy! I halved the recipe since it was only for the two of us. No changes were necessary- Thanks for sharing!
