These are excellent! I was skeptical about the chilies, but the combination of everything together was delicious! My whole family and boyfriend loved them. I think I will be making them as snacks more often. I added twice the amount of garlic and cheese. Will definitely do again!!!

Thanks Carol for this very tasty, very easy topping for bread. Tonight I served this with lasagna and salad. I'm sure this will become a favourite, well used recipe at our summer BBQ's.

This was absolutely YUMMY. I served as an appetizer for a party of 12 and it was the first to go. I tweeked it a bit... I added lump crabmeat and used 1/2 the cheese and 1/2 the butter. I sliced a french loaf lengthwise and spread the mixture over each half and broiled. When it came out of the oven i sliced in manageble pieces and arranged them on a platter. Not only did it look divine it smelled great too! A complete hit and worth the 15 minutes to prepare

From now on these are what I am bringing to EVERY party! These flew off the plate at an alarming speed!!! Everyone at the superbowl party gave them two thumbs up. I had to freeze the extra spread I made so I wouldn't eat it all! I only used 1/2 cup butter and added parmesan cheese sprinkled on top before I put them in the oven and they were lip smackin' good!!!

Definitely a keeper. Served as an appetizer at a surf n turf get together with friends. We used the diced green chiles and forgot about the garlic powder. Also used 1/2 cup montery cheese and 1/2 cup havarti cheese. Wonderful flavor

I added a bit of chopped yellow bell pepper. These things FLEW off the plate. Everywhere people were going MMMMMMMM. I will make these often as they are easy and I usually have all the ingredients on hand. THANKS!!

Absolutely yummy! It's similar to a spread I've used for years when serving Italian dishes, except for the green chilies/jalapeno part. Some of my kids came over for supper tonight and just went crazy over this new version of their old favorite. Thanks so much for sharing, Lorac!

OH YES The other pinochle group came last night . You guys are making me extremely popular with the card set,, However, don't think I will serve these at a card party again,.... those porkers would not let go, and my cards are ruined, ruined I tell ya, well it's a small price to pay for fame!!! I made some your way and some weenie ones as per Leezbeez suggestion, they all went like gold nuggets, and the super honkies were in the hot stuff and vice versa, Thanks this was easy, fast and fun
