I enjoy a Saturday night burger but then your recipe caught my eye - Forget burger this was so delicious -. I had some meatballs in the freezer opened a jar of zippy, spicy hot shaghetti sauce and the sandwich was made in no time flat. I used Foccacia bread instead of Italian while. The cream cheese mayo mixture is great - to appease my conscience I used low fat mayo & low fat cream cheese - no problem My first bite told me that this would not be the last time I made this recipe thanks Crimsonvixen7 for posting this taste delight

Excellent! I made the meatballs by mixing Jimmy Deans sage sausage, ground sirloin, egg, garlic, bread crumbs & mayo. After browning, I added them to a couple jars of variety spaghetti sauce in the crock pot. Next day at work, I made the spread & put on steak rolls, built the subs and melted the cheese in the microwave. Even the brattiest guy asked the next day for leftovers. I heard him bragging to someone about the meatball sub. It was awesome! Thanks for the great idea & super recipe - the spread is what carries it over the top!

Wonderful! A meatball sub is one of my favorite sandwiches, and this version is sooo tasty. I halved the recipe easily, although I added about a tsp instead of a dash of garlic powder in the creamy spread. I used whole-grain hoagie rolls instead of french loaves, & leftover frozen meatballs & sauce from a previous night's pasta meal. I sauteed a little green pepper and onion, and added that on top of the meatballs. I used half mozzarella and half fresh shredded parmesan. I will make this again - DH & I both loved it.
