I took another reviewer's suggestion and added spinach, but went a step further and sprinkled mozzarella atop each serving. I also substituted thyme for rosemary and didn't remove the meat to cook the onions. I will definitely make this again, but add another can of beans to balance out the meat and stretch it further. Thanks for an easy and super delicious recipe!

I love anything with kielbasa, and this is excellent. The seasoning was perfect and not over powering. Added some chopped fresh spinach at the end. It plated up really nice with the colors of the veggies. Great with a good bread.

Carol, you have a winner in this one! The flavors of the herbs combined with the sausage brought out the best of the canned beans (I used cannellini). This is a hearty, and filling dish with plenty of flavor. Thanks for sharing this tasty recipe that is now in my t&t cookbook.

We really enjoyed this one! I was pinched for time and rather than chopping the garlic & onion, I had a can of diced tomatoes seasoned with garlic and onion. I also added 1 tsp of Italian seasoning, which includes the rosemary, oregano and basil. It was so easy and quick to whip up and so flavorful. What a tummy warmer this will be when fall/winter comes, if I can wait that long. Thanks Lorac!

This is great. I used turkey kielbasa and omitted the butter. I, too, left the meat in when cooking the onion/garlic. This is a great low-carb meal. It's flavorful and filling. I like the idea of adding spinach at the end, and I think next time I'll also add a 2nd can of beans (I used Great Northern) to stretch it more.

So easy and the flavors really meld well. I'll make this again! (10/2/06 - I keep forgetting how easy this is. Really satisfying, quick and surprisingly light.)

Simple great-tasting middle-of-the-week dish that will wait for you. We enjoyed this dish with Multi-Grain and More Bread Multi-Grain and More Bread (Bread Machine). Thanks Lorac for posting this keeper recipe. We will definitely be having this often.

i'm ashamed to admit this,i've had this recipe printed out since 8/8 2005.i now wish i hadn't waited so long before trying it.i didn't have the keilbasa, so used smoked sausage instead.since there are only two of us, i cut everything in half except the beans.to save time i cooked the onions with the sausage,i didn't have any garlic so i used a 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. i served this with simmered cabbage recipe# 100417.this was very good it will be made again.thank you for posting.

This is a really good recipe. I didn't have navy beans (Discovered this when the onions and spices were already in the pan---eeeeek.) In a pinch, I used kidney beans. The dish was wonderful and the family ate every last bite. Just think what the recipe would have tasted like, had I all the ingredients. I can't wait to make it again, the right way.
